Neelam Saikia Poem
It's one of those seasons,
When it's sunny, yet you're cold
Leaves are dry, yet don't fall
And when it rains, things aren't washed away...
For, so tightly to them you still hold.
It's one of those days,
When you laugh, still aware of each breath you skip
Walk, but know not where the road will lead
You stare into the bright, seeking advice
Yet let the dark lure you, and then you sigh!
It's one of those nights,
When you say what's right, but question yourself.. why?
You watch your every step, but want to be trapped;
You think you'd let go, still fail to do so;
You tell yourself goodnight tales, wishing they weren't just that.
It's one of those moments,
When you fight, wishing you lost;
Wait from dusk to dawn...
But again wish you were alone.
You want to give it one more thought,
Yet something holds you back...
Something at present which strengthens the fact,
That once gone, is forever gone.
Once lived, once it is for life... short or long.

Neelam Saikia Poem
As the Sun dived down
I sat there all on my own
Feet touching the wet sand beneath,
Locking fingers with the sea...
I looked at what was far ahead,
I knew it was all for me.
Then a glimpse of this, and a glimpse of that
Memories returned... without any rest.
Scribbling names for moments, on the sand
My thoughts and I went hand in hand.
And amidst those tangled waves of thoughts,
I caught a wave....
That lingered gingerly
A wave...
That was so full of glee
A wave....
As gentle as the breeze could be
A wave....
That came back just to embrace me,
washed every trace of agony...
And that very wave swirled deep into my heart,
Where I found together...
You and me!
