I Am Your Safety Net

I am listening
No you are not
I have told you do not fret
Stay close to Me my precious child
I am your safety net
I look out for your heartaches
And I've come to ease your pain
I've special healing powers
If you just speak out My Name
The Lord God of the heavens
Is beside you all the way
Ask Me to come
I'm sure to run
And we will see a brand new day

The Path of Sorrow

deep down this path of sorrow
nature's arms they stand and judge
the mountains rumble with such anger
their role had never been as such
our God created all these things
to comfort man, to keep him safe
The wrath of God is ever present
They'll roar into a hurricane
deep down this raging river
all forms of life are washed away
for us there'll be no saving world
to wake good morning to each day

You Are My Trusted Friend

What more could I ask for?
How much more could I be blessed?
Father God looks down from heaven
In His presence, I find rest
Built for such a purpose
Equipped with all there's to possess
Lonely's not an option
Hopelessness can now find rest
Perseverance always wins again
Each battle, victory won
You are my utmost trusted friend
Another? There's not one

The Beating of Your Heart

There's nothing more that matters
Than the beating of Your heart
You've given everything You have
Gave man a brand new start
Sacrifice beyond measure
Pain and suffering 'pon a tree
You did all this with love and peace
You did it all for me
Oh did I say I thank you?
On my face You've put a smile
Hail to the Lord and all His glory
I'm so thankful I'm His child

Begin Again

The mountains bear the bitter cold
The valleys breath a gentle wind
The clouds pour down, the thunder rolls
The Lord God says begin again
The flower points a petaled nose
The grass lays down, the herd to graze
The sun gleams bright in its great glory
The angels bow their heads in praise
The birds so graceful soar the skies
Ocean creatures swim the deep
The Lord God says begin again
The earth beds down in slumber sleep

We Could Not Hear

Beasts, foul and great famine
It happened just as we had feared
There was no noise
There was no sound
We could not hear..
The Word had promised angel voices
Rejoicing fervently and true
For the ones who missed the memo
Their senses mute..
We'll make it back everyone said
We'll join God's army, re-enlist
But God's great army and His chosen
Walked away into the mist

Forever Gone

That generation had come, no name
Signed, sealed in blood, became the lame
No perception of time, there was no date
Their hands were scanned entering the gate
Digits, the Matrix had come fulfilled
Not worth a dime, the dollar bill
Stock Market fell through in New York
Great storms, bad weather to report
They all bowed low to the great lord
She never moved, just held her torch..
Nothing made sense, the time dragged on
No difference between you or your clone
Abortion now banned, the cities thrived
Mutants clinging, in need of life
Who is God in all this pain!?
Not one invoked Him by His name
Therefore, the time kept on and on
The One they knew, forever gone

I'm With You

You've not a thing to worry
Haven't left you or ignored
Sometimes I feel so hopeless
Feeling blue I can't afford
Are You there Lord?
Are you listening?
Can I count on You to last?
You need not pose that question
You don't even have to ask
I'm with you sure My precious child
Would never turn away
Be confident, be strong of heart
And praise Me each new day

Hurricane Headache

Hurricane head ache
South Texas heart break
Don't have a clue
I wish I knew
The steps to take
I was so young
I did the wrong
The games I played
My view was hazed
Needed renewed
At last I found
The solid ground
That's found in You

Deep Within the Grave

Come here, I say, come closer
Let me tell you 'bout a tale
You're young, you can learn from this
So be sure to listen well
A gathered clan of kinsmen
I'd say the number equaled twelve
Each one found a higher calling
Forged by the Good Shepherd Himself
He brought these men together
They broke bread, then shared a pact
Nothing happens to the Master
Or one of us must spring to act
That day came as expected
He was charged with several crimes
The least brave of the twelve
Knocked on the door, knocked several times
They took Him, Roman soldiers
What do we do? I am afraid
By the time someone took action
He was deep within the grave
