Sherri

The woman that took me under her wing
This woman gave me everything

She gave me hope
Which was the only thing that kept me afloat

She gave me courage I never had
It kind of makes me sad
This woman most of all gave me love and understanding

No matter what went wrong she was right by my side
Even if she couldn't help she made a point to try

I want this woman to know how I feel
I want this woman to know I am for real

She is my mind and my soul
This woman is my Aunt Sherri

Dear Child

Inside I feel you
Watching my belly move
A human life that’s true
Aiden Gage
Starts a new page
The book of life inlay
I can’t wait till the day
Labor room
Leaving your cocoon
The hours draw not soon
The sun leaves comes the
Moon
Black hair
Cold and bare
Skin wrinkled and fare
For you I care
18 years
Grown is what I fear
No more baby will draw near
When you turn adult my eyes
Leak tears

Over Done, Just One

My head is about to explode
Get a grip and take hold
My body feels old
A story never told
Gritting my teeth tight
Time to catch the next flight
No reason that's right
Everyone's out of sight
Fingers tremble so
Too many loads
My mind takes its toll
Watch how it blows
My face covered by my hands
Watch the bright stars dance
Eyes glisting in a trance
Took just one glance
A wish is asked
Always this, always that
Just one come true that's all I ask!

Gods Angel

I woke up early this morning with a smile on
My face because,
You were here with me
We used to color pictures even though you
Were older than me it didn't matter
Every time you left I cried I wanted you by
My side
I didn't understand much at that time
You had that pretty blonde hair that was
Always fixed
Sometimes I would even get jealous
When you would come back you would
Tell me how you and your mom didn't get
Along
One day you decided to run
So you picked the other side to feel loved
You ran, ran and ran to get to the other
Side
When you got there nothing but fear was
Waiting
Why did he take you, you didn't do nothing
Wrong
All you wanted was to feel loved just once
There was no way out
You tried to beg and plea
Instead all you got was a stone that read
Rest in Peace.
I woke up early this morning with a smile on
My face because, I realize your one of God
Angels still right by my side like old times
                      Once again....

My Sunshine

My sunshine brightens my day
In each and every way
He is strong and very bold
When he shines you will fold
My sunshine is so sweet
He is what makes our life complete
When he smiles
You can tell he's his daddies child
My sunshine is so smart
He has a big piece of my heart
I love my sunshine so
He wears the color of gold
From the very first time I seen you
I prayed to God is this true
I really do have you
I had my first son
Life has only begun
Just know your special see
Because one day you'll be
A bright young man
Who understands
Life is in your hands

Little Angel 2

Little Angel could this be
God sent another one for you
And me
She's a dark hair brown eyed
Doll
That likes to keep us all on call
Since the day she was sent from above
She has filled our lives with so
Much love
November 16th she turns one
Oh yea that's going to be fun
She is my heart and my mind
She makes up for our lost time
My love for her is so true
If she only knew
She makes all my pain go away
Only if it's just for one day
I feel so loved inside
As long as Alexis and Nina are
Right by my side
Come my girls together
Just remember you have each other
Take your sisters hand
Let her know you’re her best friend!

Nature

The wind so soft and sane
Soft like natures pouring rain
Birds soaring high up above
Singing a song of sweet love
Butterflies flutter through the
Fields
When fall comes they come to a
Yield
Beautiful roses surround the bud
So sweet
Why because that's what makes them
Complete
Deer's jump and run
As they watch their young
At the end of the day
It's time for everyone to go there
Own separate way
The sun sets behind the rise
The moon comes out when the night
cries
Silence hits so smooth
Like a slithery snakes groove
Natures way of life....

Lies

She told me a lie
Just to get by
Said she'd be back
But that was an act
She told me a lie
Never told me why
I'll get better I swear
That's why I'm in my Aunts care
She told me a lie
I started to cry
She was supposed to be
Instead my Aunt was with me
She told me a lie
Looking into my eyes
I'll be there for you
But I already knew
She told me a lie
The truth she will never try
Dear Mother I say to you good bye
I hope you do not cry
To my children I will never lie

In a Flash

The sun shines
Close your eyes
Full of so much light
They cry
Pupils dilate
Start to infatuate
There's no wait
Open your eyes
See the world so bright
A happy sigh
Watch the trees go by
Full of life

The River

The river runs wild
An orphan child
Bottom rock tile
Through each mile
Trees along the bank
To hide and play a prank
Fishing boat cranked
To life here’s our thanks
Mud in between toes
Dirty stained clothes
Bait the fishing poles
Fun, fun, fun
Dry off in the sun
Its dark night has come
The river runs calm
Smoothing lip balm
Cool sweaty palms
Nice sweet mom
Time to go home
Sit down read a poem!
