To Chris, I will love you forever...
I'm sorry we come back to this every year,
Every year I once again to begin to care,
Care more about you the air,
The air that keeps me living...
I love the way you smile,
and seem to be carefree.
But I know there may never be a spot for me...
I've tried to win your heart for three long years...
I know it'll never happen,
so why do I still care?
My closest friend says to me,
'Oh, him? Really baby?'
She doesn't understand he stole my heart,
right away..
And since that day,
My heart has turned to paste...
I want to see you again,
I know this love will never end...
Why can't you just share yourself with me?

The Wind was once a friend to me,
Silent and calm as it should be...
Now it seems like an enemy,
Pounding, whooshing and scaring me...
Can't it see what it's doing to me and my family?
Making us as homeless as we could be...
How will I ever forgive thee?
For taking away my family's peace...
It has given no sympathy,
Nor an apology.
How do I know it won't ever come back?
Come back and attack...
The way it was born to be...
The Wind was once a friend to me,

A man, my father to say the least,
Once walked up to me in a moment of glee.
A moment of glee that may never be seen.
See, he was stolen from me.
His life taken away to a better place.
but what could be a better place ,
than being with family?
Does God not understand,
How much pain he caused my family.
How I will never ever stand
as strong as I once had.
Protected by my father,
a big, strong man.
One day, when I marry,
I'll be left alone,
No one to hold my hand and say 'Sweetheart, it'll be okay'
Why did God take him away,
why couldn't he have let my dad live a million more days?
Instead God let cancer take my daddy away...
