She gave me everything, i gave it back
she deserved an ovation, but i rarely clapped
love is sweet as cake, but eat it fast
choke on it even, this too shall pass
cupid is a marksman, youve heard the phrase
'you cant run from love' like you cant run from age...

My mom got killed, stupid drunk driver
now im an alcoholic and a stupid drunk driver
hypocrite or victim, i cant decide
im having mixed emotions, feels justified
so now i have a problem, at least thats what i hear
what about me, doesnt anybody care?
when will i stop drinking, will it be too late
when i get to heaven, will i be questioned at the gate...

i wanna be loved, i long to be free
no funeral, just sniffles and tears
say you cant live, mourn me for years
selfish maybe, who are you to judge

If i were rich, would i be as giving as i am now
does it matter that i hate everybody im around
is life really worth living if youre not in control
do you really want to be dependent and old
ive been confused about who i want to be
but i know who i am and what i used to see
if i was poor would i blame God or bush
one door, one chance, would you pull or push.........

not really, its the land of greed and graves
millionaires committing suicide
homeless people keeping hope alive
you wouldnt believe it if i showed you
you'd call me crazy if i just told you
i want another choice
i demand another life
is it cool to think that way

okay, im not perfect but what if im close
i love my regrets, its the life i chose
who should we love, who can you trust
im only human, whats wrong with lust?
