Tom Ladue Poem
Five o clock friday a hot afternoon
Daddy will be home from work real soon
Here he comes pulling into the driveway
58 Chevy pickup ill drive that truck someday
Into the house he went he had a hard day
Brother and i following behind him daddy daddy daddy
Momma cooking spaghetti aroma filled the house
Momma said wash your hands boys dont shout
After dinner daddy said lets go to the drive in
I jumped up and down momma said whats playin
Goldfinger Steveve McQueen The Great Escape
Wow i thought in my mind i cant wait
Out of the house we all left
Into the car we all piled in 56 Olds Rocket 88
At the drive in were pullin in
Daddy paid 50 cents each kids under 12 free were in
Almost dark now movie about to start
A big cockaroach ran across the cars dash momma jumped out of the car
Those were fun times a kid growing up
Memories of the drive in daddy made it happen just for us

Tom Ladue Poem
Wow swweetheart what a rush i got zooming in from outer space
and landing at your front door and talking to you at the same time.
I swear i had an outer body experience. It was a fantastic journey. I really mean it. Any moment i was waiting for you to come outside. I was so close to you it seemed real. Wow it made my day. What a lift in spirits for both of us. You mean so much to me sweetheart. I am the luckiest dad in the world to have you. I feel an energy of positiveness is surrounding you at all times more than ever Like ESP. A good change is slowly unfolding for you. I really feel that. I just feel great. I love you my number one daughter...Spacedad.

Tom Ladue Poem
The day she arrived what a proud mqn i was
Felling as high as the heavens yes i was
My beautiful little daughter all ten fingers and toes
Right down to her cute little button nose
Yes i think back to that glorious day
Thanking god for her on her birth day
She grew up fast before you knew it she was twelve
The happy times i enjoyed watching her grow
Now its time for me to go we both know why
Heartache and sorrow we both cried
Years passed both of us not knowing
Lives we were living paths we had taken
Then after years of emptiness in my heart
My daughter found me and rekindled my life
In a letter she wrote i must have closure
Lets talk things out and think it over
Getting to know one another again
Is the happiest of times ill say it again
Never again will i lose you my precious daughter
Daddys come home amen

Tom Ladue Poem
Shes been around the block not her first rodeo
Tormented in her mind the thought of those fellows
In the night she leaves so so beautiful and young
Admired by the sick beings that would abuse her young
Misery she suffered her soul stepped on and crushed
The day after in the mirror she looked stop this abrupt
Time went on dabbleing in lust experimenting freely
While she sleeps the nightmares come just as freely
Came the day when she saw it come to an end
Her child was taken she had to make amends
She conformed to the rules of whats just and right
Redemption she saught in her mind she had done right
Soon mother and child will be reunited
Its her new beginning family delighted

Tom Ladue Poem
Angel bars sissy bars and banana seats
The rolling stones what a cool beat
Cronkite 6pm news telling of Kennedys death
Just a young boy i really didnt understand yet
Mother would say you kids go outside and play
Cigar box marbles jacks made my day
Saturdays came i couldnt wait
Fishin for bream boy did i stay late
One particular christmas i remember very well
A johnny seven i got that was sure swell
I knew my boyhood would soon be over
53 chevy it was my time to take over

Tom Ladue Poem
Up in the morning before the rising sun
Out on the road getting ready to run
I ate my breakfast to soon
Hungry as hell before noon
Iwent to the mess seargeant on my knees
I said seargeant seargeant wont you feed me please
The mess seargeant said with a mean old grin
If you want to be airborne youve got to be thin
C130 rolling down the strip
Airborne mama on a oneway trip
Stand up hook up shuffle to the door
Jump right out on the count of four
If my main dont open wide
Ive got another one by my side
And if that one should fail the test
Burry me in the leaning rest
