Look Inside Yourself

You get up every morning
and you do the best you can.
Wondering if your day will be good
or will everything turn out bad.

Have you ever looked inside yourself
Are you pure or made of dirt ?
Did you bring someone happiness
or did you bring them hurt?

Did you pray out of selflessness
or did you pray out if greed?
Did you pray out of selfishness
or did you pray for those in need?

Remember the One that was in pain
that was tortured and died.
The One that loved you more,
the One that gave up his life.

Next time your are on your knees
Look to the Heavens above.
Jesus is smiling down on you
with nothing but uncondtional love.

Tears of a Yellow Rose

The ocean waters crash on the
snowy coastline,
As sadness whips me away like the
changing tide.
The salty air kisses the secret corners of
my skin,
Taking me back to memories of you over
and over again.

The mystery that festers in the deepest
part of me,
As the moon casts her magic over the
starless sky.
Creating a hunger within my heart
and soul,
Thoughts tickle and confusion both enter
my mind.

All I want to know is the real reason for
this tragic change,
Please give me a sign so I won’t have to
ask why.
It hurts me and I miss you so very, very
much,
Especially now I know our friendship
has died.
I feel just like the a yellow rose without
any water trying to stay alive.

My Kindred Spirit

Drifiting into the land of dreams
Where shadows and light become one
Where sometimes hate turns to love
And where water can turn into blood.

You came to convey a message
That only I can understand.
Nobody else there to help you
No one around to help you stand.

Somebody burned you once again
Your battle scars say it all
Someone set up for a trap
Then laughed as you trip and fall.

Behind the sunny smiling mouth
Lays someone with a broken heart
Behind the shell of this man
Stands a soul that's been torn apart.

Behind the twinkle of his eyes
There is a sadness nobody knows
He hides his pain behind laughter
So that the hurt will never show.

You came to me for a reason
Even if it's only when I'm alseep
Your spirit is communicating with mine
Because in the flesh we never speak.

Woo Hoo

All the girls heads turn
When you enter the room.
Makes my poor body ache,
And my heart go WOO HOO!!!!
With a body that rocks on forever,
With eyes that dance like the moon.

With that crazy little way you walk,
And the way you stare at me with that grin.
Fantasizing about the day before,
Thinking when I can be with you again.
So please take me home with you now,
So we can redo everything we already did.

The man you see sitting over there,
Is the love of my life and man of my dreams.
The one I promised forever and ever to love,
With that grin shines like sun beams.
Sorry, dear ladies, he’s already taken,
That beautiful man belongs to little ole me.

I Love You Grandpa

It's going to be hard letting
you go..
But in my mind you're in the
perfect place,
In the gentle hands of our
wonderful Jesus.
The loving memories I have in
my heart,
Time could never erase.

Remembering special times like helping
make the bread,
or driving me to school with that crazy
looking hat.
Coming to school on Grandparents
Appreciation Day,
Saying "Amen, Praise the Lord" and
having a blast.

It makes me smile knowing you are singing,
laughing and having fun.
Where you can do everything you
did before,
when you were happy and young.
You will always be in my heart...
Today, tomorrow and forever
more.

I Love You.

Embracing Death

Death came creeping out of the
mists,
Embracing me with all of her
might.
Showing me there is a much better
place,
Where there is marvelous rainbows and
light.

Where God and Jesus sit on their thrones
of gold,
With angels flying with their magnificent
gigantic wings.
Where there is no hate, screaming, lying
or crying,
Just uncondtional love, music, beauty, and
singing.

Where people fall fast asleep on swinging
stars,
And others look down on us from the colors of
the clouds.
Where children smile, laugh and play
happily,
And magestic animals are scattered all
around.

The waves of the crystal clear turquise
waters,
Spray and splash my bare, tiny, little
feet.
Not a soul here ever goes to bed
hungry,
Everyone here always has enough to
eat.

Lord, if this is just another glorious dream
sent by You,
Please don't let me see the early morning
light.
If You decide to take me right here and
now,
I promise Lord, I won't put up a fight.

The Wars That Rage Within Our Souls

The wars that rage within
our souls,
Makes me wonder if we will ever
know peace.
Conflicting emotions continue to go
back and forth,
Is it anger for others or love we
do seek?

If one only knew pain their whole
entire life,
How does one find the true meaning
of love.
If one only knew the coldness of
the moon,
How does one find the pure warmth of
the sun?

Choosing the heavenly light over the
bitter darkness,
Is honestly a very tough decision to
really make.
When the world is full of death
and destruction,
And so many choose not to love but
to hate.

So don't give up and never let evil win,
The final battle for your soul is about
to begin.
Keep wickedness away and don't let yourself
cave in,
Seek God and your heart will love and
live again.

Angel of My Dreams

The evil of the night comes raging in.
Haunting me with nightmares and
punishing me once again.
I feel like I am being cursed and
spit on for everything I did.

Out of the darkness......
Came a shimmering light.
Something glowing magnificently
Like a lanturn burning bright.
Casting out the monsters and demons
and the pain of the night.

You held out your arms and reached
out for me.
Speaking tenderly and showing me
you will never leave.
Then the morning light crashes in
and the night is just a memory.
Thank you for being there...........
ANGEL OF MY DREAMS.

The Beginning of the End

You and I........
We don't get along anymore,
Tell me now if it's over.
The emptiness inside your eyes,
It's something I've never seen before.
Would it be better if I left,
Walk straight out our door?

Please make me feel like I'm wanted,
Like I am special to you.
Please kiss and hold me tenderly,
The way you used to do.
The tears I cannot hide inside,
Behind the shattered heart and soul,
As everything begins to die.

You and I .......
We've become so distant.
Everyday a horrible routine,
so agonizing and consistant.
Instead of loving each other at night,
All we do is bicker and fight.
Please Lord , make everything good again,
But why does it feel like it's starting
to end.

Broken Mirrors

The sweetest sound blowing
softly in the air,
When you’re outside crying life’s’
too hard to bare.
Quietly listening to the beautifulness
singing to my soul,
Sounding like a symphony saying,
“I’m here my love, you’re not alone.

“Alone is not at all what
you are…..
I am the light coming from
that falling star.
I am your hair of golden
locks,
I am the sparkle in your emerald
green eyes,
I am the music sung from a tiny
music box.
No need to shed your brilliant
diamond tears.
Remember my love………
I’m beside you here in
broken mirrors.”
