Tears of a Yellow Rose
The ocean waters crash on the
snowy coastline,
As sadness whips me away like the
changing tide.
The salty air kisses the secret corners of
my skin,
Taking me back to memories of you over
and over again.
The mystery that festers in the deepest
part of me,
As the moon casts her magic over the
starless sky.
Creating a hunger within my heart
and soul,
Thoughts tickle and confusion both enter
my mind.
All I want to know is the real reason for
this tragic change,
Please give me a sign so I won’t have to
ask why.
It hurts me and I miss you so very, very
much,
Especially now I know our friendship
has died.
I feel just like the a yellow rose without
any water trying to stay alive.
