Light After Dark

I step into the bright sunlight
And I blink many a time,
Just as I start looking around,
I hear the big clock chime.

Sighing heavily, I turn around
And step back into the dark,
Nervous and tense I glance ahead,
My path a question mark.

Confused and sad, I fall to my knees,
My mind in a clamped cage,
Colliding firmly on the bars,
My thoughts in a ferocious rage.

Once in my life, I ignore my brain
And decide to hear out my heart,
Get up, it says, you got things to do,
And now it's high time you start.

Initially, aimlessly, I walk ahead,
With no destination in mind,
Only thing I was sure of was
I now had a light to find.

Suddenly, from somewhere, out of the blue
My goal comes back to me,
The path now becomes quite clear
Better than it ever could be.

I decide to work harder now
And embrace my joys later,
My goal does guide me a lot
And helps me concentrate better.

Someday it will happily end,
So I try to enjoy it to the fullest,
Thus, brightly, I take to my heart
To smile at the hardest test.

One day, surely, I will step in to the light
With no fear of retreat,
Coz I shall, will the dark, to bear fruit
Which tastes nought but sweet.

A Friend

A friend who never leaves us,
A friend who never betrays,
A pal who is the joy of life,
Who bestows the knowledge rays.

Time and again when we tend to be bored,
A mate to take us to a fairyland.
Here a ogre and there a fairy,
With a club or a magic wand.

Steps to the world of numbers
Poems and stories about
Biology and zoology
And history to study and pout.

One who takes us on a nature trail
Among and around a bush and a brook
One with whom we share our solitude
Is none other than a lovely BOOK

To a Very Special Person-My Mom

Over the fields,through the meadows,
I roam about with glee
My joy has no bound
when you are close to me

When in my dreams, terror I see
I feel like wanting to cry and plea
but nothing do I ever dread
when you are close to me

I scamper about on the grounds
whenever I am free
when I fall , I do not cry
when you are close to me

When you call for studying
I reach at the count of three
I study very hard
when you are close to me

I can strike the highest peak
I can swim in the deepest sea
I can reach even the moon
when you are close to me.

Drug Is Devil

Drug is Devil
My friend, a person close to me, With whom, I pass my time in frolic. Drugs are the demons, which came between, Now, I am a Friend of an alcoholic. Day by day it killed my friend, Such a vile is this drug abuse. It all was nothing, but only, To mine and my friend’s heart, a bruise. I always tried to lure her away, And tried to lead her to the path to D.A.R.E. But all my efforts were in vain I still can’t show her how much I care Days have passed but it’s still the same, Every day, “Almighty”, to you I pray, My friend is a dearest person to me There is still time to show her the right way.

Solitary Seed

Deep, down beneath the soil
Lay In the darkness
A solitary seed
filled with complete loneliness.

It wanted to feel
The golden sunlight
And prayed to the rain
To shower with all its might

It was bored to be alone
In complete silence around
To see the beauty of the nature
It wanted to break through the ground.

Giving it a golden tint
The sun rays shone on the ground
The ground got flooded
As the rain showered around.

Dawned the day breaking the shackles
The seed came out with joy
In bliss it gazed at the world around
Where it was sure to enjoy

Way To Live Life

You say success tops life’s race
But I think happiness is the ace
Such thoughts would help you often

Don’t do any crime
Do not waste your time
Just go and have some fun.

Be free to feel the nature
Never away you venture
Always on the straight path you run

Helpful words, actions and thoughts you reap
Be sure to offer one a shoulder to weep
See that in your life you hurt no one

Never ever you fight
Always be on the right
Never ever handle a gun

Be happy with whatever you pleat
Never with others you compete
Never say you lost I won

Life is a stock of miracles
So don’t deter if there are obstacles
There is a solution for each and every one

Your life you enjoy
In everything you see joy
And here my point is done
