Bitter

My psychedelic psyche psyched me out of a relationship I wanted to have.
Before the days of sad, I was flying off neutral emotion.
Coasting through the cosmos on cool.
But I'm no fool, I wanted to connect our spirits and minds.
So our bodies can intertwine in everlasting collision.
Last night I had a vision, a premonition of you with that pompous fool.
He walks like he has a heartbeat.
Looks alive, but is actually dead inside with black-hole for a heart and a maggot mind.
Thinks of nothing but death and gore, blood stains and war.
With arms of darkness that don't know how to hold you.
And I have Butterflies in my stomach that cancel out the Bumblebees in my heart and
the locust in my soul so I don't have the confidence to approach you.
But when we have conversation, I have a temporary sensation.
And the psychedelia kicks in.
Leaves turn baby blue, the sky turns bright green, the clouds are dark purple and life is
better then it seem.
We can chill with Lucy, fly high into the Sky, and I can buy you all the Diamonds you
would like.
Just for one night, I want to be with you and you want to be with me.
The guy with kaleidoscope eyes chewing on mushroom.
And I want to wrap my arms around you deep beneath the covers.
So I can wake up and live the rest of my life in psychedelia.

As I Think of Her

As the darkness of my room cradles me and hums urban life lullabies of fire engine
trucks and police sirens.
I think of her.
The mere image of her in my mind causes a 100-watt smile to crawl onto my face.
And I feel myself needing her.
Her touch on my skin.
Her kiss on my lips.
And her mind linked with mine.
With our chests rising and falling in unison.
I have felt her heartbeat.
So while the cool kiss from those pillow lips make these Baltimore summer days
bearable.

As I think of her.
The smell of her perfume infiltrates my senses.
The sight of those brown eyes when school days are over.
 Makes this homework worth doing.
And I think of her while doing that homework.
Then steady looking into nothingness thinking of her.
She makes my heart skip beats.
As I think of her.
I hum her ringtone in my cell phone.
As I think of her.
But the most of what I do.
As I think of her.
I dream.

Dream of our lives together.
Dream of our children.
Hoping they would have your beauty and intelligence.
My cleverness and wit.
Your never-binding will and those Coke Bottle Hips.
Our voices both combined.
Our bodies fused as One.
All of these things I dream.

As I Think Of Her.

Best For Last

They say one man's trash is another man's treasure
& they treat you like garbage bags full of invaluable nothings
While I treat you like
A pirate chest full of priceless undiscovered riches
& I bask in the glory of my wealth
But others look at me as a poor man
But I don't care

I want to lay my face on you mahogany skin
Catch whiff of your scent with my senses
Grasps by the sensation
My body explodes
Erupt with utter passion

You make me feel a way I never felt before
& your all I need & I never want more
You say all the right things without a clue
So Im going to say the best for last
Your the one for me & Im the one for you

I want you, my priceless treasure chest
To open your chest
Let me in
If I didn't have enough already
Give me more reasons to love you
Allow me to lay a finger on you
& feel the smooth slickness of your soul

So if, God willing
We are able to be together
For the rest of our lives
When our hair is the color of storm clouds & tombstones
& our bones sound like skin sliding against plastic

I will recite this poem & see the look on your face
& as you smile
The wrinkles near your eyes
Look like a willow tree praising proudly against the wind
You are the one for me

It's always been you
The one I was looking for
I'm glad I didn't settle for a lover
Who's a little more boring but a lot less picky
Because those love filled conversations
I never would have known
Would be missed

Lastly you are the best thing that has ever happened to me
You are the butter to my bread & the breath to my life
& as this journey continues
I pray that the mistakes we made
Brings us closer together

You make me feel a way I never felt before
& your all I need & I never want more
You say all the right things without a clue
So Im going to say the best for last
Your the one for me & Im the one for you
