Marilyn

Mystical apparition resting in luminance,

Your name hath altered my passion.

Timidly on now,

I go.

Fervently,

I walk alone.

Calling your name in shadows,

so I will atone.

Oh, it is naught,

for I have bought

a brighter day.

Always shall I stay,

to say:

I shall hold,

like a thousand bold

soldiers. Just to look

inside those emerald eyes.

Pondering

I'm standing tall upon a cliff,

looking down at small poor souls.

I'm sitting here wandering if,

and pondering all the reasons.

This is for the wife,

who cry's herself to sleep,

knowing her children are bruised,

and battered from her husbands

alcoholism.

There's no where to go,

believe me I know.

You're stuck thinking,

one more raise,

maybe one more promotion,

and you can save your kids from

this hell hole.

This is for the 15 year old,

on the streets of Detroit,

in charge of his 5 younger siblings.

Arrested for selling cocain,

and told to wait for other opportunities.

This is for the cancer patient,

waiting in bed.

No cure yet,

not like it matters,

who would have the money?

This is for the single dad,

hardly ever mentioned.

Trying to keep your kid,

and keep him off the streets,

it's hard,

even harder without the job.

This is for everybody,

every poor soul

out there wondering if,

standing on a cliff,

will I ever be able to lift,

maybe be able to shift this life?

I'm standing tall upon a cliff,

looking down at small poor souls.

I'm sitting here wandering if,

and pondering all the reasons.

This Is My Final Peace

Laying upon this bed,

I made my choice to die.

Though it has been great,

it is time to say goodbye.

When the walls of Death do fade,

the halls of Heaven will show their facade.

I hear the sound of angels,

singing sweetly, slowly,

enchanting all around.

I feel a feeling,

so abnormal.

I am at peace,

with myself,

and all my aggressors.

Down below,

my body sits.

Those I love,

now weep.

Do not cry,

Dear child,

Dear Mother,

Dear Father,

Dear that is Dearest of all.

I am watching,

from high above.

I feel no sorrow,

I feel no pain.

I turn from life,

and into the world,

of Angels,

of Gods,

of men before me.

This is my final peace.

Clear Mask

It sounds like a cliche,

"everyone wears a mask".

However,

I find I am different.

I find I must have a special ability.

All of these masks I see,

they are so clear to me.

I see your trembling eyes,

they fall in discourse,

rage,

envy,

hate,

clashing at once.

The face behind the mask,

it is no man.

I see the beast within you,

clenching at your heart.

I see your ambitions,

your fears,

everything.

That is why,

these tears I cry,

they are not mine,

truly they are thine.
