Eight Days Into February

Darkness wasn't around
because it was still all unknown.
Love wasn't around
because it still had to be shown.
Nothing i knew and nothing knew me.
Until eight days into February.

Dancing Tides

Hope hangs by a string, but it never dies completely.
All your regrets are packed in the corner, all nice and neatly.
Hiding away so that the world can't make a fool of you.
Trying so hard not to do all that you're dying inside to do!
It's like a wave washing up onto the beach, it's never ending.
You hear the crash upon the shore as fake as when you are pretending.
The light from above as you struggle below for air,
is like a glimmer of trust in a game of truth and dare!
And like the tide we retreat and then come crashing down again
We are the dancing tides. We seek but never reach the end.
Gathering our minds, trying to figure it all out.
Hope, my old friend, looks like a twinkle of doubt.
But then the break forms a crack that leads the way
back to the dancing tides we love and like a wave we sway!

Death Comes

The time of life has come to halt
for the grim reaper owns my soul.
His timing and acuteness never fault.
To take my life is his goal.
The shortness of a love once known.
The greatness of my internal fear.
While as he enters i sit all alone
and i begin to shed a tear.
My fate with chess betrayed me
through the hourglass i stare
the time has come for me to leave
my body and soul no longer an even pair.
My body still lies where it fell
my soul for eternity will burn in hell.

Ash In Her Words

She's choking on blood clots
over the moon
her mind has gone wondering and
it won't be back soon.

She's talking to angels
under the sea
her windy expression
is causing a breeze.

She's purple mixtures
of all that's not good,
her shape isn't changing
i don't think that it could.

She walks with the devil
and flies with the birds.
Her mouth is an ashtray
and she's ashing her words.

Forgive Me

Waves of thought and waves of change.
Precious light between the strain... forgive me.
Mountain kings and ocean skies.
Hopeless fears controlling lives... All for free.
Just a kiss, a fallen star.
No one knows just who they are... completely.
Broken glass and window pane.
I will never fear again... Complete me.
I may give and i may take
all i know is i'm not fake... Believe me.
Hide the face, taste the rain
i will never try in vain... Deceive me.
Forgive me.

Fragments of Life

Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces.
Distant yet echoed through the listless years.
Grinding all emotion together in pain and love
and the melting begins to twist all the
emotions into a spiral of hopelessness.
The fragment awakes.
and i find i missed the years of hope.
Hissing like snakes
tied around my neck like a rope!
Desolate and drenched in despair.
but a new hope enters with a different air.
Fragments entwined
to form what's inside.

Light and Dark

There in the dark I see a scary looking thing
It’s creeping round gently with no smile in its grin.
It moves like a whisper through the thoughts in my head
And its scream, when you hear it, leaves you screaming instead.

The other side I see a shining shadow move
Light inside the darkness with a way that you can’t lose.
It’s calling out my name and I’m leaning to the truth
There’s more to your forgiveness when you have to choose.

There are two but just one in the end that has won.
There’s a hand that won’t close when He calls you to come.
There’s more to the more that we’ll never know.
Until we wake up one day to the light of His glow.

Shine

I caught the ghost train
back to the house of pain
where she was waiting
standing naked in the rain.
I felt her warm breath
as she whispered a kiss.
Last thing i remember,
i was half way to my bliss.
and she said shine, shine, shine in the dark.
and i said shine, shine, shine light a spark,
and she said shine, shine, shine through the grey.
and i said shine shine shine your light away.

I felt all the faces
staring back at me.
I felt so paro as i
floated through this sea.
Halfway there i
decided i could run away.
But when i turned around
i was going the same way.
and she said shine, shine, shine in the dark.
and i said shine, shine, shine light a spark,
and she said shine, shine, shine through the grey.
and i said shine shine shine your light away.

I closed my eyes to listen
as the tears forgot to fall.
Silence screamed out answers
but i forgot them all.
Now can you hear me
as i never find my way,
to a place i can't remember
or a place i'd like to stay.
and she said shine, shine, shine in the dark.
and i said shine, shine, shine light a spark,
and she said shine, shine, shine through the grey.
and i said shine shine shine your light away.

Your Craziness

How am I supposed to find a way through this, when you never let me up for air.
With your foot on my head, you just keep pushing me down… to where?
There’s nothing left for me to breathe, just this bitter taste of pain.
How’s about you and I just realize that sometimes people change.
‘Cause I don’t have a reason, and I don’t have the strength
I can’t breathe underwater where your craziness makes sense.
And there is never ever reason to fight the way we do and
If you won’t let me breathe then I will pull you down here too.
You act like you don’t make mistakes. You act like you are clean.
You like to set your tongue on fire and aim it right at me.
But this time I’m breaking it, this time you’ve pushed too far
And now I’m supposed to just take it. Is this really who you are?
How am I meant to show love, when you cannot engage.
You say you want it but then you act like you’re a million miles away.
So tell me please where do we go from here?
Tell me again… I’m sorry I didn’t hear!
