Hey

Hey
Did you hear the latest?
Hey
Did you see that?
Hey
Did you notice that Tim is not here today?
Hey
Did you read that?
Hey
Did you get a raise?
Hey
Millie is dating Willie
Hey
Will get a new dress for the prom?
Hey
Did you did you go to the new place down the block?
Hey
Millie and Willie split
Hey
Willie is now with Tillie
And Millie is with Billy
Hey
Do you really think I care?

They Forgot To Be

The little girl asked 'Do you love me?"
"Yes," they replied, "now leave us alone!"
The little girl said "You love her more!"
"Now don't be silly, I'm quite busy. Your father's business burned down today, we
have no time for this."
The little girl ran, she was found and dismissed as additional stress.
It passed along as days that were not meant to be.
It continued as coldness that never ends.
And then one day, they grew older, and the little girl came to realize the truth,
that family would never be hers.

A Moment In Time

The scent was oh so pure.
It captured me
to float and breathe.
It lingered for a time.
then drifted on.

I got her to come and breathe in its purity.
I mentioned that now was the moment to enjoy it.
But she forgot to be present now.
The past crept in and in that moment
enjoyment was forgotten.

No Time Left

It ate at me.
Then it turned to you.
No one wants to believe or know.
It never leaves.
It makes you feel different.
They say you are well.
But its all a lie.
It sits and waits until you are alone.
Then it knows you are nothing to them.
It turns and says my love you are now mine.
It is in your mind but not your heart.
I want to feel sorrow.
But there is no time.

Death

It waited on the corner.
So you decided to make a right.
You decided that walking would not do , so at the corner you got on the bus.
You arrived at your destination a little late, but there all the same.

You walked on, and then you realized you were not alone.
We, you are now called, and its a joy to hear that term.
We, smile a lot now, because now we are three.

We no longer wait for the bus, along the way we got a car.
We smile as we drive, the outside world appears safe.
But there on the corner it sat.

We said we are glad school is over and the wedding is next week.
We are now two, but we smile as we walk.
We plan to move and be safe.

It no longer sits, but now it stands.
It has waited and now there is no time for a right.
And now we are you and the it no longer waits.

Untitled

She's angry again.
What is it this time?
Can you be better?
Can you look better?
Can you speak better?
Can you just be better?

I don't want to be better!
I just want to be ME!
