Minute

When I pray to God I ask him for,
one minute back in time.
To place me in my mothers arms,
one more cuddle just one last time.

One minute may not seem long to you,
but it would mean the world to me.
To feel safe wrapped up in her arms,
but I know this never could be.

Please never take your mother for granted,
love and cherish her with all of your heart.
Because one day you will pray for that minute,
and count every second that your apart.

Deaf Ears

It is funny how as years go by,
you start to disappear.
You end up talking to yourself,
 occasionally you may get..
"What dear"

You can rant and rave,
cry,scream and shout.
But what is the point,
after ten minutes they say..
"What were you talking about"

I thought it was just me,
being a nag and a bore.
Being a twisty old wife,
going on more and more.

But girls it is not us,
it is them.."just you watch"
Talk about chores even yourself,
and they just simply switch off.

They do it so bravely,
seem to have it down to a fine art.
But bless them they 'are men'
without us they would just fall apart.

A Mothers Love

I love my kids so very much,
they fill my heart with pride.
Just to see them wake up every day,
it makes me glad to be alive.

My kids are really wonderfull,
so loving and so kind.
They will do anything to help me out...
"Except let me bloody unwind"

Distance

I look from a distance,
at the man that I love.
Oh God will you help me,
my God from above.
Please god will you tell him,
just tell him I'm here.
That I'm not just in the same room,
upstairs or just near.
But tell him I love him,
and that he is my life.
Oh and God thank you so much,
for making me his wife.

Ill

I have found a special medicine,
for times when your feeling sad.
It kill's all of your pain or heartach,
that you may have had.

You need only one dose,
maybe one a day.
But don't have too much,
just thought I had better say.

This isn't in a bottle,
and it has no funny lid's..
Your medcine is beside you,
The medcine is "your kid's"

Noisey Kids

I have these little people,
always running around my house.
And even though there really smart,
they don't no the meaning of..
"Quiet as a mouse"

They shout and scream,
and always fight.
And no I'm not joking,
it's from morning till night.

They answer back, and make so much mess,
but who cares their "My Kids"
I would'nt love them any less.

The Elf

I would love to catch that little elf,
the one who hides my shoes.
the one that draws on all my walls,
but he never leaves me clues.

I have never seen him,
he is so clever to stay out of sight.
And to wreck your room like that,
he must have to stay up all night.

To think I have blamed you,
when things have been broken or lost.
When your new things have been stamped on..
whatever the cost.

I should have known better!
my grateful kids would not lie.
We all have to find him,
we all have to try.

I starting to get angry,
I will blow a fuse.
You no the elf were looking for,
It is the one you blame...
when it was not you.

Why

Why do they always treat me so bad,
when all I do is care.
I beg and plead "just please be good"
but still I get nowhere.

Why when I talk they just carry on,
as if I am not even there.
I swear I always do my best,
it really is so unfair.

Why when I give them all I have,
they still want to break my heart.
I love them more then life itself,
but their tearing me apart.

Why did I think I was a good mum to them,
learing them everything thats right.
I say "I love you" every day,
but still all we do is fight.

Why am I blaming my wonderful kids,
it's not their fault it is mine.
I need to be a happier mum,
then I know that all will be fine.

A Man I Love

There is a man,
I love,cherish and adore.
I love him up to the ceiling,
and down to the floor.

There are times I don't see him,
and it tears me apart.
Because I love this man dearly,
with all of my heart.

He is kind and he's gentle,
I am his number one fan.
He is honest and caring,
he really is a special man.

It's the best when he looks at me,
with eyes full of pride.
The look that tell's me..
dont give up,
you did your best,
you tried.

I thank for all the funny times,
and all the love he gave me when I was sad.
I hope I will make you proud of me.
Because I am so proud that you're "My Dad"

That Day

That day came for me,

That day came for me,
that day we all dread.
My best friend had left me,
my mother was dead.

She had left my world,
body and soul.
What was leftt in my heart,
was an empty black hole.

The place where love,
and the friendship once stored.
Was now cold and empty,
she had gone to our lord.

Not a day that goes by,
I don't feel lonely or sad.
But I am not blaming you mum,
so please dont be mad.

If you had the choice,
you would not have left me "No Way"
But mum just you think,
we will be together again one day.
