Words of Silence On the Beach

A footstep so smooth;
A word so candid, yet strong:
A mind, so full of empathy,
came straight up to my heart:
Knock, knock, knock, are we there?
Or, are we still strangers?

The long pile of stories of life,
Unfolded, into your lap, with tears —
Some horrid, some slimy, but all true.
Solutions and steps were put forth:
Knock, knock, knock, are we there?
Or, are we still strangers?

Moments of silence, in tears,
Emotions riding high,
Darkness so deep, fathomless;
Keyboard, whispers, brought hope.
Life sprouts, naturally,
With light, and manure — right,
Springing from words of wisdom:
Knock, knock, knock, are we there?
Or, are we still strangers?

A ray of light sprouted, as did life,
From within me; and my words
Grew wings of fire, and sprung
Right onto paper, as poems and news.
Alas, the thrill lasted not long —
Black venom of the fire of Satan
Swirled around me, eating me up:
Knock, knock, knock, are we there?
Or, are we still strangers?

The silence, construed as disregard,
The lag and the arguments;
Words of war, and then — SILENCE.
Search, search, search…
Life went off action;
No sound, no light, no life.
SILENCE, SILENCE, SILENCE.
Knock, knock, knock, are we there?
Or, are we — after all — strangers?

Friends

Friendship, a word to many, from a dictionary,
Meaning moves beyond breath of life,
Gives life to many and essence to thousands,
Never complains,but always happy to share,
From life, to family to anything, you name it,
Always ready,with solutions day and night,
You name it Friendship has it all.
Friends they are for ever,eternal bliss.

Women- the Road Familiar

Refreshing feel of identifying with music in my life,

The mother’s voice still echoes sweet in all life’s strife’s.

She taught me to walk, run, dance and sing,

My mother still stands strong in love and vigor in my life.

Kindergarten, the start of knowledge in life,

Where Mini, Lakshmy, Susan, Shoba and Meera,

Still shines as star's in my day- to-day life,

Keeping those memories and blooming together.

School days, are times that stays vivid in mind,

Friends that evoked passions of love still impress,

Susan Bindu, Jaya, Brinda, and Manju remained firm,

Even when life made new meanings,connections endured.

College saw, mixed platter, though women who stayed in unit

More in day- to-day life in Bindu, Geeta, Asha, Raji and Vinith,

Patterns of Lost love, admiration's, hero worship,list stands long,

However, for me it was a distressing lullaby of hearts .

Life showed me, women stand strong above all

As I carry endless power of strength, mind and heart,

when I finds myself and knows where I remain in life!

So I stand tall and represent myself as women.

Love never lost its footprints along the line,

I am a woman in Love,being loved and cherished

I knows deep in my heart that i am contend,

Hearts grew deep in love, known love and in Love.

I knew it right from the start, a moms heart

Holding my finger tight, I cradle you in my arms

Your smile and showed all your charms.

Heavens showered me the "Mom', role in prologue.

Mother of Emptyness

Unfamiliar grounds  scare my emotions,

Hand which holds me safe no longer exist,

Each glance behind reveal vacant spaces

where are you Mom?

The emptiness I feel around me is vast,

Familiar warmth no longer extents to wipe tears,

Very routine footsteps never walks alongside,

Where are you Mom?

Bond that linked was brutally cutoff,

Before I learned to sense essence of life,

The very dept jolt me to be bold for age,

Where are you Mom?

Each gray hair reminds me of time left,

Pangs of pain quiver me out of my gloom,

Arouse to stand up straight to face time,

Where are you Mom?

The very Mom within me shudder,

With the same pain I once poured,

Into thy very bosom with vengeance,

Where are you Mom?

Are you never going to hold me close?

Why heartless to watch the river of tears?

Mind skilled to paint a shadow of you,

Where are you Mom?

Yesterdays

Emotions overwhelm me,
Haunting me for reasons;
24 months and 19 days have passed —
Longing’s destiny is vague.

What is a good solution
To combat fatigue of love
The other side is getting heavier —
Do I give in to emptiness’?

Yesterday you stripped me naked
Today you cut me into pieces
Knocked me out emotionally,
And perfected me mentally!

Now I see clearly;
It gives me more stability!
Realization dawned on me.
I doubted Yesterdays —
Do I need to trust today?

Am I longing for a soul?
Emotions do not need identity.
Face and body can live life,
With pretentions  of mind.

Life is now a roller coaster,
The wheel, turning and churning,
Never stopping for breath.
Do I trust today, to forget
My yesterday’s Dreams?

My Dad Another 24th

Days go past us, as do winds of season,
But never the days and years
That get stuck in some ear and age,
That engulf us like mirages in a desert.

One such mirage in my life is of my Dad,
Always before me, waiting for me;
Yet I never reach in time to be near;
So near to me, yet so far away.

Never did he forsake me, in life,
Never for moment, never for a day;
Always beside me in my hours of need —
A dear friend, a true companion, a great dad.

He suggested the best books to me,
But never pushed them into my hands;
A mere suggestion about the inputs —
The next thing I know, I have my hands full.

He sang tunes soothing, melodious,
But never forced me to listen to any songs;
A mere suggestion about the notes —
My passion for music was born!

His acquaintances, colleagues, all friends;
Value of friends in life is priceless;
A friend is a cool morning breeze,
Surround life with friends, my list’s endless.

Never fear life’s rollercoaster ride;
No problem is without a solution:
Life is too short to fret and fear;
And so, I tried, yet fear engulfed me.

He came back into my life in many forms,
Beating death; guided me with many a face:
As friends, notes of music, verses from books —
He never left me and my life, my Dad.
