There is a glimmer of light around
And a depth of sound
I feel the rain beat
And know I've been found
But some things aren't meant to be
And still its alright
No matter what you see
It's alright
To see the light
And you'll know it's alright
I can't just let it go
Alright, I thought you'd know
That I can hear you still
But does it show
And it's alright to be here
I'm always near
Ooh it's out of my head
And my thoughts are dead
You know it's true
All that I've said

You've tried to break my mind
But you've been far too kind
And that's alright
You're quite a find
It's just like I knew
That's why I do
If words are my only friend
Then my thoughts can lend
To what I make

When you feel to cry
And a tear falls from your eye
Just wipe it gone and dream
Your heart may hurt but you will see
Your love is strong
For those who come along
Like a star that is perfectly fine
You can make them shine
Like a beautiful diamond that's crowned
You will always be around
When you're found alone

Just start to walk away
You will find someone some day
But until you do

Someday you'll see
Dreams only go as far as your mind
Someday I'll be
Where I started still confined
I never really knew
And if my thoughts grew
Maybe I'd be somewhere new
But that was never up to you

The only way you were meant to be

Mind flutters in and out
Which sings and screams all about
Whatever thoughts have disappeared
Some remain and some are cleared
Sentiment of innocence forgotten now so long
Of what once was is no longer wrong
Scars of what once were tears
Left now like some forgotten fears
Distant times once so real
Begin to gently again steal
Happiness your great illusion
Leads you into deep confusion
Cluttered into your empty space
You leave without a single trace
Reminiscing of present sorrow
Now but soon to be lost tomorrow
Loathed among the liked sons
Whom are now just among
Simple minded weak but too strong
Feeble life not lived too long

Everyday people ask how I'm feeling
Simply said I'm doing fine
It's the answer you'd hear most often
But it is not truly mine
When a problem arises I try to run
But it seems I don't get very far
Because standing in front of me
Is a new one filling an old scar
So just take a piece of me
You know it must be easy
Because it happens everyday
In the exact same way
When I cry people stare and laugh
They don't care that they cause it
It's just a joke and high inside
But they wouldn't ever admit

Sunshine's here to brighten my day
And take the wind and fly away
It makes me smile like something's great
Almost like it's tomorrow's fate

Blue skies always make me feel alright
Even when they're shining at night
I wouldn't smile if it were bad

I know all people and all they need
Is the peace of love that's all around
We could plant the seed
For those that are future bound
Love is the key to all that's near
If only we all would let it grow
There would be no need for fear
If you let peace in your heart it will show
As one we can all stand alone
But together we all shine
Love is nothing that you can own
It's not just yours or mine
If we all reached for the sun
Then we all could just release
All hate and pain could be undone
And we could see love and peace
We're all free as a bird in the sky
Letting go of all we despise
But before we can learn to fly
Our thoughts of good must arise
In the peace of love we seek
In the truth all is found
Once the future seemed so bleak
But with peace and love we'll always be around

If the sun didn't come up today
Or if you went away
I'd be okay
Under the blue skies
I could tell something wasn't right
Your smile not quite as bright
You wouldn't look me in the eyes
You just stared up at the skies

There must be something wrong
For you to say what you do
If there is no problem
Then what's wrong with you
You've got to be a little off
For your dreams to be what they are
If you are not thinking
Then you ain't going far
There's no point in hanging 'round
If no one's on their way
So run off somewhere new now
If you've got nothing to say
I've had to deal with you so long
Why can't you bother someone new
I just can't stand it
To be near you
Why do you do those things
Even when they're wrong
Do you think that somehow
It makes you belong
You know that time will never stop
Or just sit around or stand
So get up and do something
Your life's in your hand
Have you been out again
Doing wrong things so bad
They just show how much
You lost what you had
I'd like to give you one more chance
To prove that you're alright
But you've gone too far now

A lone understanding of my own mind
Confuses me every time
Things meant to be left alone
Are touched upon and over blown
Times never have been more tough
But I can never get enough
Tempting things try to drag me in
To deceive me and commit sin
But I can find the better day
Under all that you say
Is this all it'll ever be?
Good thing that I am me
Sometimes you can feel what's true
Deep inside of you
I know the way it drives me mad
To have to know good from bad
But if I'm destined to be like this
Then it's not a life to miss
