God Sees the Scars
When someone close has proved untrue,
Betrayed your simple trust...
Used you for their selfish ends and
Trampled in the dust
The past, with all its memories,
And all its treasured ties,
The Light is blotted from the sky -
For something in you dies.
Red and deep our wounds may be-
But after all the pain,
God's own finger touches us
And we are healed again.
With faith restored,
And trust renewed
We look towards the stars...
The world will see the smiles we have, but
God will see the scars.

Don’t Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,
When funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit!!
Life is ***** with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won,
If you’d stuck it out!
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
Its when things seem worst that
You must not QUIT!!

Appreciating Life.
Use every morning to celebrate another day-
Appreciate the dawning, and live life while you may.
Many eyes did not open with this morning's light,
Many hearts are broken when ends the night.
Try to appreciate your life in every way
And remember - some people don't have today!

Today I Found a Friend
Today I found a friend,
Who knew everything I felt.
She knew my every weakness,
And the problems I've been dealt.
She understood my wonders,
And listened to my dreams.
She listened to how I felt about life and love,
And knew what it all means.
Not once did she interrupt me,
Or tell me I was wrong.
She understood what I was going through,
And promised she'd stay long.
I reached out to this friend
To show her that I care,
To pull her close and let her know
How much I need her there.
I went to hold her hand
To pull her a bit nearer,
And realized that this perfect friend I found
Was nothing but my mirror!
Believe in yourself!

The need to Let Go
As children bring their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I took my broken dreams to God,
Because He is my friend,.....
But instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
With ideas of my own.
At last I snatched them back,
And cried.. "How could you be so slow?"
"My child" He said,"What could I do?...
You never did let go".
Pray and Let go.

Your Reward
The way may seem hard,
The road may be rough -
To endure to the end
You have to be tough,
But try to stand firm,
Be positive too! -
You will become strong,
And you will win through.
You won't be alone -
No, never, my friend,
The burden can be shared
Right down to the end.
That's what friends are for!!

Secret Love
The lake, half hidden by the trees
Is like my love for you.
Although we know it's there
It's almost hidden from our view.
The many shades of leaves
Are like the way I sometimes feel
My moods in love are varied,
As colours are - dramatic-
As leaves are, very real.
The waters of the lake are deep,
And dark, and almost still -
Like that I cannot speak of our love,
Not now, not yet.... until....
Some brighter time will clear the way,
The waters will run bright -
Clear and sparkling for all to see -
No more as dark as night and one day
I'll talk about our love,
When freedom comes, and peace,
When I can hold you, unafraid -
And life will never cease.
Until then, perhaps the way ahead
Seems sad, but life is not a carousel, and
Often things seem bad.
Our love can wait, the hope is there
And soon things will be fine,
One thing I ask - I ask it now,
Please let us take our time!!!

For every stone that bruised my feet,
For all the work and trials through time,
For all life's storms and some defeat,

Infidelity.
Something beautiful has broken, something gone which can't return.
Something happened, now what was it? - Heart that's broken, hurts that burn.
Something's missing now, and sadly, all I know is trust has fled,-
Every look and every gesture, Now pretence is daily bread.
Smiles, not frowns are now the order, No tears please - it's not the thing! -
How I dread this whole existence, Now what means my wedding ring?
Someone worked hard to deceive me, Plotted every single move, -
Hated me enough for nothing, Tried to rob me of our love.
Understanding is my problem, why it happened I don't know.
How I failed will always haunt me,
When will all this anguish go?
Can we face the future lightly? Was confession right or wrong?
Has the knowl;edge and the heartache been too much, or too strong?
Can there ever be a future? Will new tomorrows come along?
All I know is “Love endureth”- love endures then from now on?
Life’s a stage and life’s a play. We’re actors in it all.
I’ve prayed a little day by day for God to help and ease the fall.
Poets say that Love will find it – Love will find the way.
I must go on believing, loving him from day to day.
