Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
There is somewhat of a fire stirring deep within,
Look in my eyes, and you'll be able to see where I've been.
I have told you about my world, and how I feel,
Every word is from my heart, and the passion is real.
What has been instilled in me, can't be sold or bought,
Yet the lessons I have learned can be taught.
I have learned to love me in an intimate way,
In the strongest of winds I will not sway.
Iam like a sturdy tree, strong winds I can take,
My boughs may bend , but I will not break.
I have been in some storms, and I have weathered them all,
In the face of adversity, I stand tall.
I have gone to war without an army, only me,
I like the shadow, am full of mystery.
You may never really know the real inner me,
You may never fully understand, why I be like I be.
When you look into my eyes, you may see for yourself,
You may finally understand why I have my self respect.
I am like the stars in Heaven up above,
I only want to be appreciated and loved.
That's the fire stirring dedep within me,
I love me, and am proud to be who I be.

Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
When we learn to appreciate just how good God has been,
That is when our spirit really starts to mend.
Until we learn to appreciate we will always thrist,
We must learn to appreciate, and always put Him first.
We must learn to look within and recognize who we really be,
Once your eyes are opened you will clearly see.
You must not be afraid of what about yourself you may find,
Once you become unafraid to face, you then you'll have true peace of mind.
You can't move forward unless you look back over wher you've been,
Until you face you there will always be turmoil and confusion within.
Serenity is what I asked for, and it was given to me,
I can truely say from myself I have been set free.
Free from all those shackles in which I had been,
I know I have been forgiven of my many sins.
I know there are times when I have fallen and come short of glory and grace,
I am trying hard to work on me, and I apppreciate!!!

Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
Iam not like can't you see;
Yet you try to change me constantly.
I make my own decisions, so should you.
Changing for for you is something I won't do.
I like being who Iam today.,
And the person you see before you is here to stay!
I am to stay, not going anywhere,
Change me don't you try, no don't you dare!
Couldn't change my heart even if I wanted,
I am definitly not trying to be like you.
I am an indiviual and I like it that way,
Don't care what you think, or what you say.
God made me in his image, and I am very proud of that,
Wouldn't have it anyother way, and that's a fact..
I am a born survor, know this to be true
Can't go around faking, and pretending as some folks do.
I am not a fake, tho at one time I tried it once upon a time,
Damn near made me lose my mind.
Running around, not noing i which direction,
I needed some serious prayer and meditation.
I meditated and prayed to God,
Now of myself, I am very proud.
Iam proud because I truely fear no man,
I am my own person,YES, Iam

Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
Reassure me when i'm afraid,
Miss me when I;m away,
Keep good the vows you've made:
Beieve in what I say.
Comfort me when I' lonely,
Have faith i what I do;
If you love me, really ;
Prove your love is true.
Laughter with me when I'm happy,
Cry with me when I'm blue,
Follow me to the end of Earth;
As I would follow you.
Correct me when I'm wrong,
Stand by me when I'm right,
Think of me in the morning;
Dream of me at night.
If I'm not myself,
Please try to understand,
Just put your arms aarouaand me;
And tightly hold my hand.
Kiss me softly,
Hold me tenderly, but tight,
If we should lose our tempers,
Please God don't let us fight.
When you say you love me,
Mean it from your heart,
And if you really mean it;
Not even death can keep us apart.

Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
My love I do myself to comfort you,
As you asked of me,
The reassurance that I give when you're doddubtful;
Truly I pray it puts you at ease.
I miss you if only you are in the enext rroom,
Just a few steps away,
THe laughter that we share with each other;
Really makes my day.
I will correct you,
If I feel you're doing wrong,
And I pray that you'll acept my advice,;
For you know I am only trying to make you strong.
I will also cry with you,
For it doesn't make me weak,
Together you and I
God's guidance we will always seek.
I know ther are going to be days when when you're not going to be yourself,
Trust me I will understand;
I'll just put your arms around you,
And as you asked, I'll hold your hand.
I will kiss you softly and gently,
I will hold you tenderly but tight,
And I promise you love,
With you I'll not fight
When I tell you I love you,
It does comes from my heart,
And even though God may call us home at different times,
The love I have for you wil never ever part.

Mary Graves-Bruney Poem
THe passions that i have for life can't be sold or bought,
But the lessons I have learned can be taught.
i am learning to be true to me over the years,
Taught I had to be strong and face my fears.
I have been taught I have to look in order to see,
Taught that I could depend not anyone ut me.
I have been taught that i have to listen to hear,
My intimate thoughts i should not fear.
I haqve aq qpasion forlife that is very,very deep,
No more useles tears, no longer will I weep.
I am like a sturdy tree, strong winds I can take,
My boughs may bend, but they will n ot break!!!!!
As said I am full of fire, passions, and intimicies,
LIke the ember of a warm fire, there's a g;ow within me.
I have been taught that I am arightious sinner inbetween sins,
SOmetimes, but afraid to look within.
I can not be afraid to face the real me,
Or be afraid of what I might see.
