Existing Instead of Living

The day walks
She haste by in a troubled fog
Not stopping
Nor slowing down…
Again, again
same and same
slow by slow
she keeps going
On and On
No stopping to admire the dawn
Nor to gaze at a golden sunset.
As life moves she absorbs in it
No longer an individual,
but merely an existence until
Death knocks
And she stops to answer.

Lesbian Humor

Here by the bay
I lay and pounder
Sun rising and setting

I dream of dreams
Of knowledge of kings
Of divinity of Gods or higher beings

Of a love; sweet and gentle-
of a Female kind--If you dont mind.

Here by the bay
I lay and pounder
All day I do wonder

Here by the bay
I dream of a girl
So very sweet and totally gay!

To kiss and love
To hug and snug
To enjoy and lust
And to be comforted til dusk.

Blind As a Bat

Blind am I?
My sight is gone,
But blind? Not I!
My ears can hear,
My tongue can taste,
My nose can smell,
My eyes though broken
Are still the windows to
My soul!

I sense your movement.
I memorize your place.
I see your face through my hands
Through my skin;
I sense with in.
I move quicker than you.
I see more than you may think.
I see your cluttered room,
The fly on your window,
The day old pizza under your bed,
The old spice perfume fuming from your pores,
I sense your playful arrogance in front of my nose.
I am not blind, I merely can’t see.

Beauty Beneath the Surface

Listen to the musical, harmonic sound,
Its Dear Beauty coming down.
She is in every detail of my eye.
She brings to life the wonderful sky.
I see her in
the plump girl,
the geek,
the recluse,
And
the neat freak.
She gives me new light and perception.
She shows me that it is not what lies in front of my eye,
but what we do not
see,
hear,
taste,
touch,
or smell.
Its how we feel at the moment its revealed.
Beauty is
a child at play,
a crisp rainy day,
a clear, blue sky,
a stomach cramping laugh,
the sound of a child receiving his/her first toy.
Beauty is the feeling of accomplishment
when you get an “A.”
Beauty is a clever thing,
she makes the most---strange and absurd
become the most, wonderfully captivating.
To me,
beauty is the soul of things springing to life.

Metamorphisis

Like a bat sleeping
the cocoon gently hangs
upon the massive red oak’s arm.

Gently-
And ever so lightly—
it does shake…

Tiny, little,
streaming
cracks
dance along the little egg sack.

A wing of silent, starry blue protrudes
then another-
And now a leg-
And several more!

Beautifully blue the butterfly glistens.
Her wings flutter freely
Singing a note of life newly grown
And yet a tinge of melancholy
it seems she does echoe
of a life long ago.

To the skies she soars
In search of something more

A butterfly is born…

A Elegy For a Battered Friend

Beautiful and Strong;
My perception was assured.
Proud and Independent;
My heart always thought.
Defiant and Resilient;
My mind was led to believe.

But in the night you changed!
Cowardly you grew.
Ugly you became.
Meekly you hid.
Dependence clouding your every thought.
Resilient? No more!
Only broken in two,
dazed and confused!

Your confoundment?
merely a man.
He hypnotized your heart,
Confused your mind,
Devoured your essence
And Broke your spirit.

I morn for my friend.
My song; merely a lament
For a time that is no longer here.
For a warrior; no longer strong.
I morn; for my friend.

My Enemy Is Myself

You are my enemy-
the worst of your kind--
You push away people;
You chicken out.
You make fun and laugh
at things you shouldn’t.
You think horrible things
And silently you are truly afraid.
“Run, run!” I say-
Hide from all.
Your friends think you are kind, sweet and innocent.
Only I know your truth—
Because; dear enemy,
I am you.

My Muse

Free-verse is my muse.
Her twisted cadence my signature.
Her chaos my beauty.
Her simile my symphony.
Her metaphor my song.

She takes my emotion and creates life
In splendid fashion!

Angels and Demons

Angels fly
Upon the magnanimous winds
Singing peace & happy ends;
Inspiring all placid sleeps & even makes Hope joyously weep.

Demons lie
Upon the obsequious night
Screaming agony & evil delight;
Aspiring for ethereal deeps & even makes Fear mortally weak.

Autumn

The sight of the first leaf's fall..
And I know it all.
Autumn has come
I know its time to run, play, hop with glee
For Autumn isn’t my enemy.
Some may hate my prankster friend with her mess and coming of cold,
But no, not I! I love her bold and messy ways.
I love when she makes the trees wave.
I love the piles of leaves that liter my hair
making me into a bird's loving home.
She drys the summer’s sweat with her crisp, cool air.
She lets me dress in crimson, brown, and sunshine garbs.
She constantly mocks the long-headed stooge.
Oh, Autumn you bring with you joyful rain
And the promise of new life.
You wake my inner child.
Until we meet again my dear friend.
