Left Hand, Right Hand

I held your hand, You squeezed tightly
When I embraced further.
I held you closer still, You did not resist
When I rested my head on yours.

I realised then, I realised all at once
How much you meant, how much I wanted.
Never been so scared, The thought that time
Of what could have happened.

Yet all that time, All that time
(The person who cared the most...)
In your mind of minds, They were not there-
The person who cared the most...

The things you said, thought, meaningless
To the one who looked out for you.
In your confusion, You pleaded love
In your sobriety, You demand forget.

Hypomania

I am an antagonist,
Creating the circumstance
Which invariably escalates and succeeds,

One gentle push, a poke,
The precious small doubt
Planted, Subtlety personified.

Party’s life and soul,
Yet still in the background
I watch with interest.

What need for sleep have I?
Something I do not need
With this energy of mine.

Creativity in abundance,
My thoughts race fast
Many, all simultaneous.

I am centred in your mind,
Yet I’m on the periphery
But you find me.

The antagonist I am,
You know, you know
But circumstance consumes you.

Metamorphosis Part 4

One by one they fall,
Into each other’s arms they go
Perfect and pretty they are,
Their heaven hurts my eyes.

Realistic, pessimistic I am,
Or envy, longing I have?
Something similar I want,
Something similar I need?

I am fine but I am not,
I am angry but I am passive.
To have that happiness once,
For everything there’s a first.

Will what they have
Change everything and me?
I do not know honestly,
But life’s experience will tell.

Shadow's Light

I stand facing you,
Everything I aspire to be.
In the shadows of your world,
In the light of reality.

And yet a figure so mysterious,
Your emotion has been crippled.
Your feelings are hidden,
Your indifference is showing.

I have seen you often,
In my times of need.
You have come to my rescue,
You have put me in danger.

My fascination remains,
With your adaptive faces.
Cool, calm, collected,
Confused, scared, alone.

I realise we are alike,
In thought and in action.
All this I realise,
As I stand facing you

The Grain Sways

There is no normal here,
Rules are ignored.
Consistently changing, altering,
Common template is scrapped.

Challenge this ideal of mine,
A daring person would only do.
For who is to say norm is norm,
I like to defy belief.

Fear is a stoppable obstacle,
But for the few uncorrupted.
For now I still walk straight,
I float like an island.

Doors must be held open,
Say please and thank you.
Courteous to the death,
Etiquette must be followed.

The wound must be cleaned,
The poem must be written right.
For that is the norm,
The corrupted belief.

Another Love Story

The times we were together
Has been time well spent.
Lighter than any feather
I felt with that sweet scent.

And I am so grateful
I feel deep relief,
I have not fallen hopeful
Like manys’ belief.

It is for the best
As I look away and above,
That I am not like the rest
With this false thing called love.

It’s as clear as day
Why can’t they see,
Nothing escapes decay
And routine does not flee.

Looks will fade
And personality will grate,
It’s all a charade
There is no fate.

Reality is here
Why do they ignore it?
A form of fear
Or force of habit?

Fool themselves into thinking
There is one true love,
Life has a meaning
A perfect- fitted glove!

But let them keep dreaming
I will not interfere,
For I do my own thing
Because I have no fear.

Metamorphosis Part 1

Where are you?
Your sight is impaired,
Blinded by ambition.
Why do you cry?
The good ones are here.

A shoulder for tears-
Thats what you use.
Not seeing the truth
Behind what you abuse.
The good ones are here.

Attraction so shallow,
How do you win?
Misplacing insecurities,
Why must you win?
The good ones are here.

People don’t change,
People can’t change.
Routine is routine,
Regret is regret.
The good ones are here.

Little to hide,
Intentions so clear.
The good and the bad,
We are here.
Where are you?

Metamorphosis Part 2

I have two eyes,
But I am blind.
My two ears I use,
Doubling the silence.

I use big words,
To forget the small ones.
Remembering tiny detail,
To avoid the vagueness.

I create my confliction,
Since peace is so boring.
I believe it is so,
I believe it is not.

(I hear nothing)-
It is time again.
(I see nothing)-
Time to pretend.

Metamorphosis Part 3

I am falling away now,
From my “beliefs” I go
I am wavering with my stance,
Is this happening again?

Every day is a battle,
Fighting the inevitability
The feeling of hope,
Fighting my thoughts.

Erase my hopes and
Take my childish naievity.
I want you to leave my head
But I wish you would stay.

Sickenenly ideal we are,
Everything you, I admire
Yet I know like before,
It will never be....
