Hypomania

I am an antagonist,
Creating the circumstance
Which invariably escalates and succeeds,

One gentle push, a poke,
The precious small doubt
Planted, Subtlety personified.

Party’s life and soul,
Yet still in the background
I watch with interest.

What need for sleep have I?
Something I do not need
With this energy of mine.

Creativity in abundance,
My thoughts race fast
Many, all simultaneous.

I am centred in your mind,
Yet I’m on the periphery
But you find me.

The antagonist I am,
You know, you know
But circumstance consumes you.
