Illusions

Inside hypnotic dreams,
The mind-bending picture
Covers sight with clashing colors
And illusions grow deeper.

The mind-bending picture
Denying all logic
And illusions grow deeper
Inside nonsense walls

Denying all logic
The tune moves off beat
Inside nonsense walls
Through never ending corridors.

The tune moves off beat
Harmony is echoed
Through never ending corridors
Where flashing walls numb the soul

Harmony is echoed
Off blue and red tracks
Where flashing walls numb the soul
Can calm every mind is at a perplexing peace

Off blue and red tracks
Through curves and unknown shapes that
Can calm every mind is at a perplexing peace
And hypnotic movements continue.

Through curves and unknown shapes that
Covers sight with clashing colors
And hypnotic movements continue
Inside hypnotic dreams.

Mommy

Late last night,
A voice she heard,
Calling out her name.
Waking her
From a sweet, deep, sleep.
Rupturing her dreams.
That voice…
So urgent,
So mysterious…
So shrill.
So piteous,
So young.
Wailing loudly,
Into the night.
Screaming her name.
Mommy!
Mommy!
She follows the voice,
Comforts the voice,
And the demons,
And the monsters are gone.
