Letter To Mom

AS WE WALK IN THE SAND
I REALIZE I AM HOLDING LIFE IN MY HANDS
YOUR LITTLE FOOT PRINTS TRYING TO FILL MINE
REMEMBERING WHEN I TRIED TO FIT IN BIG PRINTS
NOW LONG GONE IN THE MIST
I WILL TRY TO LEAD MY CHILD
THE WAY YOU LED ME BY YOUR SIDE
NOW AS WE WALK IN THE SAND
WE CAN FEEL YOU HOLDING OUR HANDS.

Safe Love

you came along like an angel of light
making everything alright
you taught me how to smile again
as I would hold your hand

as love embraces me so tight
do you ever wonder if this is right?
me and you, you and me, all to happy
for those to see

but still I fear hurt may come
and then you will leave me all alone
again I will hurt everyday
wiping the tears of pain away

I fear this is all in my head you see
trying its hardest, poisoning me
together we stand united and strong
for our love can never come undone.

Hurt

Hurt by words
Hurt by actions
Hurt by selfish accusations.

Don't talk to me about love
a subject you know nothing about
Don't talk to me about family
when you don't even recognize your family

hurt by your actions
not the reaction
hurt by the lies
that you say are the truths
I'M NOT GOING TO HURT ANYMORE!

Guiding Me

Twinkle twinkle little star
how come you have gone so far
far away where there is no light
making my life dark as night.

Im in a search of man
What man you say?
why the man who has created us
In every which way.

The man when he smiles
Its so divine
That even I start to cry
Im weak and lost
but he will make me strong and found.

So star that shines so bright
please come out and show your light
shine bright, shine strong oh guiding light
now I can see in the night.

Clouds clear the sky
Oceans are blue and clear
who knew where I would find that man
all along he was holding my hand
guiding me along this deserted land.
