Letter To Mom

AS WE WALK IN THE SAND
I REALIZE I AM HOLDING LIFE IN MY HANDS
YOUR LITTLE FOOT PRINTS TRYING TO FILL MINE
REMEMBERING WHEN I TRIED TO FIT IN BIG PRINTS
NOW LONG GONE IN THE MIST
I WILL TRY TO LEAD MY CHILD
THE WAY YOU LED ME BY YOUR SIDE
NOW AS WE WALK IN THE SAND
WE CAN FEEL YOU HOLDING OUR HANDS.

Nice write, Christina! There is no better way to appreciate a mother than following the foot print she left and forwarding her good legacy to the next generation. Welcome to Poetrysoup!
