Esko Marriot Poem
I mourn the day I lost all hope on you,
as delicate as you are, it has been rough loving you,
no road can go farther than you have taken me,
yet it was too short of a ride,
how beautiful you looked in the morming,
as the sun compliment those eyes,
the birds chirping away;
as if they were announcing your arrival,
day after day they announced,
untill one day you never came;
yet the sun still shines,
and the birds still chirp,
confused because i can feel your pain,
but my heart doesn't hurt,
clearly it's your pain,
and deservingly my gain,
i lost part of myself because of your departure,
yet realized who i truly was,
as life can not be changed or given back,
i can not regret,
only mourn for the angel that you were,
you are no more,
only a memory, lying in the depths of my mind,
thank you for allowing me to love,
your welcome for i allowed myself to forget.

I must speak words of purpose, for the truth costs more than gold, but cheaper to produce than Chinese paper
flowers, lies breed insecurities in my soul that I cannot bear, why should I weigh myself down? Lies are like
anchors are to ships in bad weather, why anchor yourself in violent waters? , When you can sail through the
storm in hopes that you will see another day, If you anchor yourself, your boat shall be destroyed and
eventually without a miracle so shall you.
“Find your purpose” said mother, “Find the truth” said father, but where do I start? Father is gone, and mother
is far, who do I turn to now? All that I can possibly do is open the vault in the back of my mind and count my
riches, for now I realize that my blessings lived in my youth, all the lessons, the tears, the scars, they were
my guide into adulthood, mother always said “you’ll see”, father always said “you’ll do”, father never got to
see what I did, and mother still reminds me.
With such unbalance one would think they are geared to always fail, but failure is the product of lies, for when
I failed, I have told myself that I couldn’t do it, and that is an absolute lie!

when others like to doubt, I love to believe,
when others give out, i like to receive,
I like to ask questions when others like to answer,
when others move slow, I like to move faster!
there is not an ounce of shame whenever I tend to fall,
because If I never fell I would have never walked at all,
when others spread lies, I smother them with truth,
when others feel old I thank GOD for my youth.
when others like to doubt, I like to say yes,
when others make stops, I go express,
life is a blessing not a big test,
when others grow tired, I like to rest,
I control my thoughts, that control my emotions,
when others speak shallow, I speak deeper than the oceans,
so when others doubt, I like to make things happen,
because life is my ship, and I am the captain.

I love my life, because I've loved you,
I wish those lies would of never came true,
I'd give my life would of left you with two,
If that's what it takes for our love to stay new,
as I face the cold winter and the seasons ahead,
I wish I could still kiss you goodnight in your bed,
lay you to sleep as our story I read,
whenever I was hurt it was your love that I bled,
I wish you were mine again and again,
but love I have lost and becoming a friend,
I've started to hurt, but my love never ends,
i will follow my heart, while others follow their trends,
this is all just a nightmare, but I stand wide awake,
I would give in my pride just to make you my fate,
love is unexplainable, but you I understand,
my princess, my angel, come hold my hand,
your hearts not for granted and neither is mine,
and our souls together can freeze up the time,
our moments are endless, and o do they shine,
not loving you enough can be considered a crime,
to love, to life o angel of mine,
don't leave my life but god says it's time,
blind to this world, I could hear your heart beat,
numb to the the reality that our love met defeat,
no room for discussions, now everythings done,
no expecting a soulmate when you were the one.... it was fun.
