Adulthood

Sometimes you gotta do things
You don't wanna do
Sometimes responsibility takes over
It's a sacrifice we all make
We must take advantage of childhood
Because eventually
We forget what it is like
To see the world as a playground
So to all the kids out there
I envy you
We all do
Deep down we're all kids
But adulthood is always the trump

Don'T Give Up

She walks down the street
Head held down low
What did she do?
What has this world come to?
No common decency
Thrown out on the streets
To decay
In this ever decaying world
Sad and depressed
But she doesn’t realize this
There’s always somebody out there that cares
I am right here
Never let someone tell you
You can’t do something
Live by the golden rule
If you want to be treated well
You have to treat them well first
It’s sad nowadays
As she still walks
But remember this
There’s always a place for you
Right here

Don'T Give Up- Edited For Better Or For Worse

She walks down the street
Head held down low
What did she do?
What has this world come to?
No common decency
Thrown out on the streets
To decay
In this ever decaying world
Sad and depressed
But she doesn’t realize this
There’s always somebody out there that cares
Someone thinking of you
I am right here
Never let someone tell you
You can’t do something
But not everyone follows
As we tend to give up
It’s sad nowadays
As she still walks
All alone
But remember this
There’s always a place for you
Right here

Time For Change

I wish I had your guts
You say what you want
And all I want is you

I'm afraid you won't agree
You don't want to be with me
But who knows?
I never took the chance to see

I'm broken inside
I run and I hide
Maybe it's time to step out of my cage?
Now's the time to change?

So I'll take it day by day
Trying to find the right words to say
It's time to step out of my cage
It's time to change

A new movement I will start
Within myself and me alone
It's what I should have done all along
It's time to listen to my heart
Because no one wants to be alone

As I Remain

Walking down these empty streets
I am all alone
Not feeling a thing
Not the freezing cold
Nothing
It's dark out here
Even at dawn
People pass me by
As I remain
I am all alone

Neverending

Falling
Will this ever end?
Desperate to get out
Someone to save me
Complete darkness
Walls wet, damp
Body bruised
It seems like it'll never end
This is my confession
I need someone to help me
To catch me when I fall
To pull me out of this descent
Wondering if, when it'll end

Playground

Kids see the world as it is
I was once reminded
That the world is a playground
But somewhere along the way
Whether because of work
Or just responsibilities
We forget that
Our lives become routine
We forget how to be a kid
How to use one of our greatest gifts
The ability to see the world as it is
The gift of imagination
We get caught up in our work
No longer enjoying what she offers
It's a shame
The world is a playground
Its a shame we can't see it

The Wait

Sometimes we think it best
Just to be alone
Sometimes we have to
We have to endure through it
Sometimes you just have to do you
Others might get in the way
But in the end
Others keep us going
The pursuit of "the one"
The pursuit of happiness
But one can't have success
Unless one believes in himself
So one just has to stall
Stall all relationships
In order to get one's life together
Before worrying about others
It's time to do me
The rest will come to be

Trapped- I Am Behind

I ain't too good at this writing stuff
But here I go anyway
I feel trapped in this world
Trapped in this city
Spilling my blood on this paper
I need someone to help clean it up
Yeah I've got friends who I'd never give up
But sometimes you need more
Someone to hold when lonely
Someone to complete you
I guess it'll all happen in due time
I over think things
I just feel so behind
Liking girls I can't have
Blowing my chances for happiness
But always on the pursuit
I'm older than everyone here
Lowering my standards
But hey, maybe it'll all work out
I over think it
Everyday I get a little older
A little bit busier
I need to try harder
To escape from the hell I put myself through

I Wonder

Sometimes I wonder what the point of it all is
Why are we here?
Some people seem to have the worst of luck
And some are unfairly gifted
But do these people deserve the wealth?
People say that happiness isn't money
But it sure does help
Why did God put us here?
Not all are made equal
Sometimes I wonder
Is he real?
I don't see him anymore
How can it be that He is here?
When all this scum is around?
Ruining what "He" created
No respect toward him
They trick themselves
People think they are kind
It is all a joke
The human kind is a primitive species
But sometimes I wonder
What is the point?
