Together Forever

Here she is
Those miles away
Missing him each and every day
Her hearts ripped open
She is a mess
A beauty in a worn down dress
Bruised and beaten
Make-up only covers so much
She smiles just to hide the tears
He knows of all her deepest fears
Freedom she finds within his mind
Lasts long enough to get of this rut
When his voice does fade away
Into the dirt, she finds her way
The sky turns different shades of gray
While all of the colors fade away
On the corner where she stands
He reaches out to take her hand
Startled she pulls away
They began again today
In a restaurant below
A couple stands kinds in tow
Number the waiter asks
Four they reply
Never batting an eye
Ten years older and wiser
Kids out of the house
Mans hair is dusted with gray
The lady still dyes hers away
Off to work they both head
And late at night when they go to bed
A kiss with feelings just like their first
Shared between the two
Another ten years quickly pass
The two retire at last
On a park bench they both sit
Younger couples passing by
The woman turns tear drops in her eye
The end was soon to come
A few months later
A hospital bed
Her head rested in his hands
“ I love you” she whispered in her last breath
“I love you too” he replied
A single tear fell from his eyes
Two years later he passed too
I guess even they both knew
When love is true,
Together forever really is too.

Slow Down

listen to the sound of the rushing world,
wonder what you'd hear if we all slowed down
a minute of an hour a second in a day
Instead if speeding our lives away
What happens if we listen to a voice that is unheard
Would that make us different or just a bit absurd
Words are the music and in what we say
Do we still wish our lives away
Tomorrow would you slow down just for a second chance
To love someone you left behind to give them one last glance
And if you saw a gravestone of someone you held dear
Would you stop just for a second and shed a single tear
In the sounds of all the speed
Will we lose the truth that we all need
In a silence we all stare
attending what was really there
In the hopeless hope is found
Making loud yet subtle sounds
In the future let me know
What would you do in bleeding snow
Stop and help the one you loved
Or flee the scene as an injured dove
In the furry of the fight with what is left will it be flight
Tomorrow would you stop and stare if blood washed down
Painted walls and streets around
And if you new the causer of would you wash your hands with the blood
Or would you run to a place of gold a secret place you still behold
A place where children frolic and play
A place where speed is left where it lay
A place of new adventure here
A place where newcomers all draw near
Listen to the sound of the rushing world
Would you listen or just be absurd
In what you hear does music play
Think of what it would be today
In a place where speed was left to lay
No more rushing through our life
In peace we call it calm without strife
Tomorrow may be different or just another dream
But this is the part where we place all the seams
And in a subtle laughter we may all feel absurd
But in the distant future this will be a different world.

Start My Heart

I’ve Been Here All Along,
Yet Things Never Seem To Change,
It's Like I'm All Alone,
Just Walking Through The Rain...
Oh Darling It Is So Cold Outside,
And When The Snow Starts To Fall
It Is Your Name That I Seem To Call,

I Need Your Warmth To Start My Heart,
Start My Heart,
Please Just Start My Heart

Think Back To December,
Do You Find It Hard To Remember,
The Snow Outside?
Do You Even Remember Me?

Well Don’t Try To Fix Me,
Cause I’m Not Broken,
And I Left My Heart On Ice,
I’m Changing Before Your Eyes,
And Let Us Face It,
You Don’t Like It,

But Baby It’s So Cold Outside,
And I Need Your Warmth To Start My Heart,
So Start My Heart,
Please Just Start My Heart

Can You Really Live Without Me?
Can You Walk These Streets Alone,
When You Think Back To December
Will You Remember The Hands You’d Hold.

But Baby Its Not So Cold Outside,
And I know That You’re Okay,
So This Is My Last Offer,
Will you please let me know,
That you will be there
When The winter stakes its claim again.

I need your warmth to start my heart,
So baby just be there,
Baby start my heart.
Just start My heart.

Perfect Robot

I am sick and tired of being me
At least the parts that you all see
Nothing else makes any sense
I wish that I could take a stand
Make you all understand
Why I try so very hard
Just to please my ungrateful mom
Nothing matters anyway
So why live for one more day
What else can you see
If you look deep within me?
A tortured soul no path to walk
A silent mouth no words to talk
A perfect robot day in day out
A pretty face no room to shout
A silky complexion as cold as ice
A smile with no sacrifice
Laughter faking is a game
One that will receive no fame
I’m sorry has no meaning
Even if it is sincere
Nothing else matters especially here
Forever filled with silence
Tomorrow is just a day
Nothing to hold onto
Today is how we stay
Forever is a mystery
And the past is history
What matters isn’t how you live
Or what you have to overcome
You are the paper and the pen
Life is the story you haven’t told
A perfect robot day in day out
Three more years I cannot shout
Then I get to walk away
Forever me another day.
