Famous People

remember some of the people
that help put a star behind your name
don't be greedy to the game
give back to other communities to
some poor people helped in your fame
why have millions of dollars, billions still
when millions are dying still
crying out for a helping hand
why is it you can't see others like me
this I can't understand
there shouldn't be hunger in this USA land
share the wealth, bring back someone to good health
God blessed you to be a blessing, Famous people
you can be on top today, down tomorrow
can't you see others sorrow
you live in them big homes
when others live where they can
you have one, two many cars to drive
when someone is dying to stay alive
and a little child has no food on it's feet
or in search of some heat, that stranger on the street
don't look down on others like me
don't turn a blinded eyes to see
if some Famous people, would help some hurting people
if some Famous people would, could lend a hand
there wouldn't be hunger in our USA land
it is like a circle, you have, because we buy it
but you don't share it, you are blessed to be a blessing
I was blessed with a gift to write
because I asked God for one song to sing
and He has given me many
but you have never heard of me
because I to find it hard to be recognized even as a writer
Mr. Prentice B. Elsey is my name
if i was blessed with a million dollars, still
I would bless millions, still
and I share this gift with you, Famous people

Between You and Me

Some of the little things
That tried to brake us apart
Should of made us strong in our hearts
Because you are the love of my life
I love being your wife
I treasure all our moments together
It is the funny things
That you do, makes me smile
And life is good with you
That our love can last awhile

(Chorus)
Between you and me
We can make our love right
Between you and me
And we can love each other
Between you and me
We can last forever

When we started out
Others and they had there doubts
They said we wouldn't make it
Between you and me
We can work out the mistakes
Together we can work it out
Together we can make it
Threw all the hard times, rough roads
We've climbed over mountians
Carried some heavey loads
Together we are rasing a family
And my sisters to
And if we have arguments
Between you and me
Realize we all make mistakes
But it takes us to make it right
( Repeat chours)

Some of the little things
That tried to brake us apart
Should of made us strong in our hearts
Because you are the love of my life
I love being your wife
I treasure all our moments together
It is the funny things
That you do makes me smile
And life is good with you
That our love can last awhile

Between you and me

My Jug Is Empty

When my jug is full
And over flowing
You are always around
But when my jug is empty
You are nowhere to be found
My jug is empty

He Saved Me

(Verse 1)
Jesus, He saved me...
Reached down into the mess
I was in and He saved me
Opened my blinded eyes to see

(Verse 2)
I don't have to go
Back to the hood even if I could
He saved me...
Opened doors I could not see
He saved me...

(Verse 3)
Here I am, just as I am
I surrender my all and all
My heart, my body, my mind
I surrender my all and all to you

(Chorus)
I won't ever give up
I won't ever turn back
Where you've brought me from
Jesus, He saved me...

I was tired of the life I was living
The streets had pulled me in
Living in a world of sin
I wanted a different walk
A different way to talk
Called on Jesus, He saved me...

(Repeat Verse 3)

I won't ever give up
I won't ever turn back
Where you've brought me from
Jesus, He saved me...

Jesus, He saved me...

Yesterdays News

Everyday and there is another story to be told
Of someone dying other then the old
Because todays headlines
Is yesterdays news
And all over again
It is another mans pain
And the world reads about it all

A little boy with only memories
of his dad laying dead at his feet
Dad walked his son to school
   on them bad streets

A mother and a father
   laying dead in their beds
A stranger shoots them
at close range in the head

Someone needs to know
That you love them right now
Let's spread some of God's love all around

Because tomorrow isn't promised at all
It seems other have no care for a human life at all

Every time you hear the news someone is drying
Listen to the voices that are crying
Of two little girls laying dead on a path one walks on every day
I hope you are listening to the words I say

A sixteen year old
And her father decides that she can drive
A mother toss her only child to the side
Is no longer alive
A father lost his wife
A mother her life
And the world reads about it all

Still a lot of people dying that isn't saved
This isn't something that is on my mind
The bible speaks about it all before the end of time
Family against families killing one another
Fathers, Mothers sisters against brothers

And death has no mercy it passes none of these by
Some of us are only left with tears to cry
Because a father shoot in the back of the head
Trying to protect his family now he is dead

Fire takes a little boys life
Because he runs back into the house
To save his mother, only to be remembered as a hero

Everyday and there is still another story to be told
Of someone dying other then the old
Because todays headlines is yesterdays news
And all over again it is another mans pain
And the world reads about it all

Yesterdays news!

Never Said Goodbye

Mothers day for me
Is only what should of bee
Cause we could of been best friends
God if for one chance, this could ever be
Could you bring back my mother for me to see
Or just a hug would do, mom I love you
I miss you mom
And I never seen your face
Mom I never said goodbye
I have been abused, lied on, accused
Cried a many sleepless nights
Hoping things would turn out right
You would come and rescue me
Only to see that could never be
Over the years all the tears I've cried
Cause mom I never said goodbye

On Judgment Day

Rapping is the music of today
And the world seems to be listening
To the words being said
And I need these words to be heard
Repent of your sins
Be baptized and baptized of the spirit
Ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you

Then you will be saved on judgment day
Now you can't say you didn't know about Jesus
See all this troubles my soul to hear
Too many people are taking their own lives
And when you do you will be hell bound
You can't repent turn your life around
This is no game to be play
Dying is true...living is to
Hell is forever...so is eternity

But there will be no excuses on judgment day
When you try to explain to God
Why you took your life away
I asked God to use me this time
Help me to write what is on my mind
Here I am lord use me to reach lost souls
I want to be your messenger this message needs to be told
This poem just might reach someone I don't know
Something for the young, the cripple and the old

Hope you turn on your radio
This could be your next video
I just couldn't leave this one alone
Someone is hurting more then I
Just call on God he sees the tears we cry
because taking your own life it's no game to play
Your name want be written in the lamb's book of life
You will be the one to pay on judgment day

Rainy Days

now the sun don't shine
in my heart no more
cause there is to many rainy days
i'm here in a city that i only knew of
trying to make it on my own
where you left me on a street corner all alone
it's been a year now gone by
i hold to my tears trying not to cry
but this old country girl
misses her country boy
hope one day you turn the radio on
and hear these words
knowing they are for you
and realize that you left me behind

trying to understand why you did this to me
if only you could see
all I've went through
just to make it, take it all
now the rain don't shine
in my heart no more

i'm here in a city that i only knew of
trying to make it on my own
where you left me on a street corner all alone
and i made it
made it thought my storm

Speechless Without Words

speechless
standing off into the distance gazing your way
looking at you the beauty you are to me
attracts my attention towards you
not being able to say a word
hurts the most
speechless without words

speechless
not being able to pull away
just to glance from time to time
and you are always on my mind
realizing your beauty still
that gleam of sparkle in your eye
leaves me in a trance
and my heart dance
stuck in my tracks
speechless without words

speechless
something keeps pulling me
it draws me near
to come close to you
sometime I think I hear you call my name
but, I turn and walk the other way
speechless without words

speechless
and it was the very first time we met
you acted like you hated me
but, I was determined we would be
the best of friends
and you treated me bad back then
still I would do anything for you
but, I would just stand there looking
speechless without words

Mom'

A letter to my mom
Why didn't you want me to live
You took my life away, didn't even give me a chance
Please read this with your heart
Because it will last a life time
Always on your mind
The choice was yours to choose
And I was The one to lose
Mom I heard everything, you said
yes it confused me
You never gave me the chance to see, you

Because this morning I woke up in heaven
Yes it is pretty here, still I wonder why, As I began to cry
Mom what could have been going on
What could I of done so wrong

You never held me close
Or never seen my face
I'm beautiful to
God isn't pleased with you
Mom you never gave God a chance
To reach you a helping hand
I walk and talk with Jesus
He helps me to understand
It wasn't my fault He tells me
But, I'm all grown up now
Up in heaven looking down
I asked God will He ever forgive you
He turned His face in shame
And this is what He said to me
Stop crying my child, you wasn't the blame

Mom
