Jonathan Taveras Poem
Im walking towards a better day
today the skies are grey
far from what was yesterday
we used sun rays to bathe
locked away far from our routine today
for hours, days meaningless as we played
sweat drenched smiles as Tonight wains
excited sighs as morning wakes……….
and when You wake alone…and the skies are grey
Im on the road
you were on the way..

Jonathan Taveras Poem
I poorly attempt to manifest my dreams on paper...and instantly
very hesitant to share the hollow carcass of what and when,
but finally allowing some air in and my sin,
I fear, was time spent......abiding.

Jonathan Taveras Poem
Sleep walk awake, same as everyday
mindless thought,programmed; obey
these inquiries torment a brain thats sane
To Question Himself and others ,not blame
To Question this reasoning,however obtained
To See if any!….best out of ten,
but….Differences, There have always been..
HaHa Eureka!
Thats it!
Whats Your Name?

Jonathan Taveras Poem
squirrels teasing dogs on leashes
not too close ,the masters decent
just for once he'd like a show
to see the furball torn to pieces
smiles fade when bones break
a mess was made, quickly now,
walk away
to think.....a bit of humor I would say
a squirrel has a saved a life today..

Jonathan Taveras Poem
Guilty bones rest their feet
in piles of ash, where home was seen
a long days work,worth tomorrow's tea
and a vision of softly crying sirens
''what have you done to the children, what have you
done with them?
their future is as bleak as the ash you stand in!
what did you tell them and why?''
They'll live in bliss for longer in a lie,but blind
I choose thirst with no bounds and hunger with no limits
This is the life of color and passion
but frail is the trail of ambitious advances
condemned to faces and statues
all made of asheS....

Jonathan Taveras Poem
Faces of the night,
how menacing and taunting you arrive
through cracks and seams and sleep they seep
deeper still with a curious display
desire , greed , illusions fashioned
unless the sun arose today
yes!..there is my way home
there are my hopes afloat
There!...is where I must go
But wait, as darkness makes its haste
we must wait....
Till summer ,once again, awakes
