I See America

Falling, I look up
Pain shoots down my neck and through my body.
I see the clouds shrouded by dense foliage I see a green blur as my eyes try to wash away
the pain.

Will I die here?

I see my town, my house, my room, by bed.
I see my car, my dog, my friends, my family, their faces.
I remember the sandbox where I thought i could fly and the swing that was my wings.

Will I die here?

I see my old school, the diner where i use to work, the girl I once loved, her face.
I see myself walking to the mail box the white letter with the dark stamp in my hand, my
face.
I see my training camp, my leutendent, those tires.

Will I die here?

I see the plane, the water, this land, i see the trees

I see a green blur as I look up, i see the faces above me, I see their knees, the shoes, the
dirt.

I see boys, I see faith, I see dedication, I see pride, i see strength,
I see honor, and then, i see their faces.

I see America.

Honestly

Honestly I wish I was braver,
taller,
my nose smaller,
my fingers longer,
hair blonder, teeth whiter,
my thighs firmer
I wish I woke up earlier,
wasn't so late,
Read more,
Cared more,
Loved more,
Danced more,
I wish I tried harder,
wasn't so negative,
smiled longer,
stood straighter,

Honestly...I wish people weren't so Honest.

Someday We'Ll Know

On
 the highest peak
find the path beaten and worn from conformity
Than veer to the left away from the rest
This road leads away from here, this confinement
Past the names etched in stone, grown old and lost in years
A foreign dirt traveled afar, from all that remains behind
Others have been here but I just cant tell when
An oasis not quite so inviting, you find yourself

Glories, Stories, and Nature Worries

Fresh cut grass laced with dew adheres to the top of my navy sneakers
Only the mornings touch invites the purple glories to open their lavender lashes, pupils of white
gold.
Never has school's beginning been so inviting
A crisp waft of salty air reminds the land that the oceans near
Cold enough to raise the hair but fresh enough to tolerate
Even now these mornings bring nostalgia
Ripples flee from our canoe and dissipate before reaching the targeted shore
"Fishy, Fishy, in the brooke come and bite on my big hook"
But not even charms can cast my line to the scaled phantom, whose shadow I swear I saw,
teasing me to become entangled.
Indian feet remain in the clay, telling the story of natures keepers
Shark teeth are out of place now, but remind me that this land was once the Ocean's
Soon to be the City's

Jello Heart

So good at going through the motions
Lose my wits when im with you
You flush my cheeks
and grab my hand
Foggy eyes I fall for you
Twisted ankles you got me stationed
Here I'll stand
Just hold my hand
Jello heart
Salt and tangles
You got me here, my love in chambers
Locked up at ease just as you please

Love, Ill Let It Wait Pt1

I rubbed my hands
Making circles on frosted windows
And the rain fell and stuck awhile
We rolled back our seats
Our breaths met but I couldn't let you have me yet
Our hands fumbled,our mouths mumbled
My toes curled in those boots
You told me a story, and I played along
But my hearts a stone and your just a till
See ill move around, but in the end I'm still whole
You try with blades now dull
Yours is the story ill tell
It's easier for me to mend, something Iv never spun
When I don't have to fit and all you need is my wit
Squeezing in, you'll try but remember your just a till and ill see you by
In the end ill still let you go
I drew on you and let you stick, but I'm tired, and no one can have me yet
Your heart is in my net

Glimpse of Morning For a Night Owl

A sheer blanket of Rose
Flowers from the place where the earth drops off
Source yet unknown for beauties face still rests,
awaiting times unveiling
Awaken Beaming Brilliance; bright and burning
Earth turns its side, revealing the wide eyed beauty
Darkness retreats, and cowers in cracks
Waiting for its re-emerging.

Earths Eyes

Between God and "hell" is earth
Unaware of our fate is mirth
But the tensions are high
And God sent angels to spy

Secret Never Sought

Looking in your eye is a secret
I hate to watch you leave me
Everyday I wish was two, making me that much closer to you
A bridge that never ends, and drops you back at start
The rope I just keep climbing with every twist and knot
We crouch to make you feel taller
Stare till you walk our way
Around you there is no other no matter what they say
Ill fall and let you walk
Like a rodent I chase my wheel
Noticing the scene never changes
Leaves are gone and flowers dead
All the charm of early season has fled
Rot is becoming our foundation
Im tired of waiting for the mail you never sent
A soul never polished
This secret you never sought

Swaying Fish

People flock in like birds to a feeder
Some disappointed by distant seats
The lights diffuse; eyes dilate and focus as shadows materialize on stage
Shouting
Cheering
Whistling
Sheer ear rattling sounds stir your blood, urging withdrawn screams to bubble forth
The music starts the beat catches your foot than your legs
Your become another fish in the swollen sea of swaying people
But just as soon as it started it's over
You solemnly retrace your tracks on the journey home
Tedious buzzing lingers in your ear drum and is left as the faint whisper of music dissipates
