Brighter Days Ahead

the days are getting brighter
as i stuggle along my way
my steps are getting lighter
as i wake to face each day

my tears they still flow
and my heart it beats the same
until someone we know comes along 
and they mention your name

but the nights pass a little more better
and sleep it comes in time
i know he will never be back
and he,ll never again be mine

I Find Myself Missing You

Baby  I find myself missing you so much
I feel like half of me is gone
I miss the sound of your sweet voice 
and yes I really miss your touch

I long for the day when you will forever be mine 
and until then my love I,ll wait for you 
until the end of time 

my love for you grows strong 
with each passing day 
but to me it feels all wrong 
when all alone in our bed i lay 

please baby take this to your heart
come and get me soon baby 
and promise me we will never again be apart

One Step Closer

one step closer till memories of you are gone
now i cant hardly seem to see your face
i guess im finally moving on

its getting easier with each passing day
please GOD let me forget him
each night thats what i pray

still your in the corner of my mind
i hope one day to leave it
very far behind

and in it,s place a new love
one day forever he,ll want to stay
and if one day i see you
this i what i hope to say
hello old friend it,s good to see you
then i,ll be on my way

I Watch As She Grows Weaker

I watch as she grows weaker and it breaks my heart in two
To see her in such pain I wonder just how long she will be with us
until it is time for her to see our sweet sweet mom again.
I know mom is anxiously waiting and I can almost see her smile
as Carol once again embraces her as Carol walks that one last mile.

I know that i will never again be happy once they have laid her in her grave
but for now i, m trying for her sake to be beside her and like her be brave
but each night my heart is breaking and there are so many tears that i, ll cry
I don't want to tell my beautiful sister that final sad heartbreaking goodbye.

Carol when you get to heaven and you see mom, s sweet face please give her a big kiss for me as im left in this lonely place
I look forward to the time when we all will meet again
never more to part i know you and mom will welcome us in
i wrote this on may of 2005 that is when we lost our oldest sister Carol to  a rare sarcoma cancer miss her everyday

Wondering

i set at home all alone
wondering what to do
where did i go wrong
i fell like my life is through
im stuck in a place
i dont want to be
my lifes a disgrace
my soul wants set free

what am i going to do?

Im Tired of Trying

i,m so tired of trying to fight
to make this marriage work
i try to be the best wife 
while you try to be a jerk

you cant really love me 
when you treat me the way you do
i,ve tried for 12years
to make you see your wrong
i guess maybe the next woman be better for you
after i finally give up and am gone

i,ve loved you all this time
going through stuff and hanging on
but its time to let go
and try to make a new life
why couldnt you just love me
and i was a good wife
now i,ll never know

Happy Birthday Scotty

you would have turned 31 today
and today i feel so sad
because you was only with us 
such a short short time
then you went away


i remember the day you was born
and as we watched you grew
but your life here on earth cut short
devasting those you knew

you was the sweetest person
and your heart was generous and kind
although you,ve gone to be with our loved ones
your always in our hearts 
and on our minds

so happy birthday scotty
it,s a day we,ll never forget 
we wish we,d had more time with you
thats something we.ll always regret

When You Leave

when you leave me dont look back
cause iif you do you,ll see me cry
it,s so hard to say goodbye
and watch our love just die

will you remember years from now
or will you just forget
the time i had with you
i will never ever forget

but when you hold another
in your  arms so tight
every once in a while 
please remember you held me close at night
