Dallas Alexander Poem
Teach em to reach em
Don’t blame them for not knowing
So many live with scattered hearts
Yet they still going
And some of the best that grow
Come from the bad parts
The best stories to be told
Come from a broken heart
See its ok to fall victim
To some temptation
A true heart will never spark
Without self salivation
You earn the right to grow old
A long and hard road
What could you do
To change a story that was already told

Dallas Alexander Poem
They say the good die young
But what about the sweet and old
Or the middle aged woman
Who kept her family from the cold
Pray for those whom she touched
And many more like she
For this one moment let’s be equal
And pay silence so they travel in peace
Release at least one from all sin
The story of Carmelita Rochelle Gibbs
Is what this piece is about
I truly send my heart out to her kids
And hope their future holds grace
Let them hold a falling star
And know the soul of their MOM
Will never stray from their heart

Dallas Alexander Poem
Walk a mile in my shoes
And clutch the pain I adore
That makes me the man that I am
Minus pain is to be a man no more
Walk two miles in my shoes
And lust as I do for better blues
Yet no changes I make
Regarding choices I choose
Walk three miles in my shoes
Taste, love, feel, and see what I see
Go for a million miles in my shoes
But understand this life is all me

Dallas Alexander Poem
When she meets with my vision my mental erupts
Stuck in a passionate prison her heart I want to touch
Her soul I want to grip and wish she’ll never want for more
A deep kiss through her lips is what I’m lost for
To exhale with her touch
Is it love or I lust?
Really can a young man truly feel this kind of rush
I barely know her
But her smile I can smell well
I’m so open it’s a shame
I hope she can’t tell
But what to do what to say
I need a next move
It ant cool how I stumble when trying to be smooth
So I wait from sun rise till the shine of street lights
Thinking and dreaming
Trying to get my words just right
Never thinking to see her
Laying cold under the street lights
Beautiful black rose
You never got to be the love of my life

Dallas Alexander Poem
I wish for my soul to grow deep like the pacific
For this I pay the cost in tears and turmoil that slaps like a high tide against the rocks
To sink deep in life is to be harder to move
Deeper than the deepest root and speak of life like a favorite jazz tone
To rock with life like necks to a smooth jazz groove
BOOM BOOM TAP I do
With wisdom thick as cold grits and saturate my seeds with this
Again I wish

Dallas Alexander Poem
Vision a nightmare
picture a circle of death,
Escalating the fight for life
and suppression of breath,
Praying into the wind
to save all that is left,
Ever wonder if she can here you
and if so will he help,
Questioning God because Allah
allows so much pain,
And Buddha teaches me much
except dodging the rain,
Or can I really be that blind
taking the fight to my brother,
Blood for blood right mama
After I tell her I love her,
Then I turn my back to the world

Dallas Alexander Poem
It there ever was a but what
She would be but this
But beauty all natural
But a good gentle kiss
But what about her feet
She moves but to no other song
But that’s like lady sings the blues
So good but so wrong
So soft but so strong
Like fiction but fact
If there ever was a but what
Is to be wrongfully mines but never given back
