Why

Words without meaning,
Utters sensual sweetness,
Lying to my soul.

Lost But Not Forgotten

Some time has passed
from when i thought
the music flowed a soar,
and golden trumpets
sprang from the heavens
to finally play once more.

And from those sweet melodies
of which it was derived
then owed to you of this,
composiums so grand,
my soul could taste it,
this sweet eternal bliss.

Alas my heart
has lost the beat
to which the music plays,
and through the turmoil
from within my chest
my feet felt swept away.

Caught in this current,
desperately trying to swim
to reach you once again,
though my endeavor,
quite unsuccessful,
my love will never end.

Maybe

Maybe
oh baby
if you saw
the way you looked at me
then maybe
oh baby
our love could finally be free
and these feelings
that i have for you
ive never felt before
and when i see you smiling
baby
im always left
wanting moreeeeeeeee

your the reason
i cant sleep at night
the reason
i lie in bed
my thoughts
and my love for you
will never ever end
ooohhhh noooo

and when i see you laughing
i drop down
and i pray
that youll never let me go
and theres one thing
ill always sayyyyyyyyyyy
baby
theres no maybe
i want my love plain to see
and baby
theres no maybe
i promise you'll always
be with me

your the reason
i cant sleep at night
the reason
i lie in bed
my thoughts
and my love for you
will never ever end

and im never letting gooooooooooo
cause baby
dontcha know
these things
i feel inside
will
never
ever
die

Something To Laugh At

Remember that time
i came along
wrote you that rhyme
from the heart

well girl
look at you now
ballin your eyes out
and fallin apart

you fell for some guy
who promised you it all
instead sittin down
eatin ice cream
thinkin your nothin but small

cryin, "why me"
lookin for someone to care
well all i gotta say is
girl, i'm keepin
that gum out of my hair

stop lookin
for someone to listen
to you whine and complain
when they told you
all along

but you knew better
go buy
some tissue
and listen
to some slow sad songs

i'm done
through
and finished
with gettin my shoulder
wet from your tears

so do
what us guys do
call up a friend
drive to the store
and buy yourself some beers

Something Old, Written New

And tho my mind dwells
On days long past
I sit here
and I stare.
To be asleep, my dream.
Awake, my nightmare.

Waves

Riding like the knights, sharp jagged swords, endless sea of waves.

Chaos

My mind wanders
disturbed distorted disillused
fleeing like a fleet of stallions
uneasy like Poseidon's oceans
a broken mirror in the bathroom
staring at a reflection
in a puddle
on a rainy day
where? how? why? when? who?

destruction devistation desolation
beating but there are no drums
motion but there is no movement
images but there are no eyes
consciousness but there is no thought
the earth trembles as i walk
quake aftershocks bring mayhem
trees,buildings,people ripped apart
blackholes engulf the world around me

recreation renew re-emerged
matter streams into a nebula, a star is born
ink spills onto paper forming words
an expressionist painter throws cans of paint at a canvas
but without thought
a prophet sees the future
but without eyes
the heart pounds with fury
but without pulse
the mind conquers marathons
but only runs in circles

A Ride Alone

I'm in the pickup
of my life
wheels keep on turnin
breakin for no one
stoppin at no time

I'm in the pickup
of my life
bed is overfillin
baggage overloadin
weighin down my ride

I'm in the pickup
of my life
takin all the backstreets
lookin for some feelin
wastin all my time

I'm in the pickup
of my life
wind is all I'm feelin
runnin through my hair
passin by my eyes

This pickup of my life
gas is reachin empty
fumes are runnin out
wheels always turnin
breakin at no time

Freedom

Freedom sings and freedom rings
Freedom flies with open wings
Freedom goes and freedom dares
Freedom is the open air
Freedom yells and freedom shouts
Freedom voiced with many pouts
Freedom protects and freedom destroys
Freedom regrets and freedom annoys
Freedom is not such a simple toy

For where are simple freedoms found
in the hearts of all men, profound.
