Wings of a Dove

Love can't be easily defined,
Its the warmth in the heart,
A state of mind .
Yet love is more still,
The purest of emotion's,
That you could ever fill.
For its sharing an ever life affair.
With the one that you cherish,
The one that truly cares.
Its when a tender glance,
Or a sweet gentle touch,
Says "I love you and I need you so much".
Its a dream of a future,
Shared only by two,
When storms start to come,
Its a beautiful sky of blue.
Yet love is so much more than this,
For beyond the magic,
Of a gentle touch or kiss,
Its a heavenly gift sent from above,
A blessing from the angels,
Carried on the wings of a dove.

The Leaf

A fallen leaf upon the ground ,
Discarded by its mother.
No longer having any use ,
Pushed aside for another .
A simple life as it was ,
Spawned in early spring .
Bursting forth in happiness
Shading birds as they sing .
From cool nights and mornings ,
To scorching hot summer days .
It spent its life on a limb ,
Pleasing to a passing gaze .
Yet its time was quite short ,
Dispatched by a winter breeze .
It joined its siblings in the air ,
Scattered amongst the trees .
Though left to pass all alone ,
Its existence fading quickly .
It spent its life as a leaf ,
To be enjoyed by you and me ..

Cold Winters Morn

As I lay here on a cold winters night ,
Reached behind me,you were not there .
For some reason you were out of site ,
I looked and your pillow was bare .
On that cold winters night I could not sleep,
Kept reaching, trying to feel you near .
Out of my mind you could not seep ,
Through out the night you did not appear .
The sad feeling of being all alone ,
Oh,what a night it became to be .
Reason for the absence was unknown ,
For a cold winters night absentee .
On this cold winters morn did I awake to see ,
Was it my heart that you did not adorn .
Or a dream inside of my head to be ,
On this cold winters morn .

Finding My Place

Finding My. Place

Sometimes life just isn't fair ,
It tends to throw you a curve ball .
And wonder why you even care ,
Not knowing why it happens at all.
Looking for my place in this world,
Not knowing where to seek.
Like trying to find an oyster pearl ,
The options are so very weak .
Wondering where do I belong ,
Trying desperately to find this place ,
Not a lot for me to lean on ,
Searching , but not a trace .
Like a book collecting dust upon a shelf ,
Is where my life seems to be.
Hard to find this place by myself ,
If is there somewhere for me to see .
Hearts filled with hurt and pain ,
The hole seems to be so deep .
Thinking oh no , its not happening again ,
Trying so hard not to weep .

Ones Thought

Ones Thought

To follow ones thought in the swallow ,
When sorrowful leaves hang low .
To scatter delight like the sparrow ,
And banish all night and woe .
To enter the storms of winter ,
And cower back clouds with song .
To flower like spring in her power ,
When hours of rain seem long .
To walk to a wood that is calling ,
To edge through a hedge where it bids .
To push back the leaves of old bushes .
Find there a shrine that was hid .
To see through the house of ones being ,
With eyes as bright as the moon .
To hear with no reason of fleeing ,
The cheerful chime of its tune .
To open the door of ones knowing ,
For to fear not the hero inside .
To flow like a free wind flowing .
Never a true thing hide .
To fashion a friendship with gladness ,
To sire a love that inspires .
To raise over rivers of madness ,
White wings of unfailing desires .
To stream up the height of ones dreaming ,
To soar out of touch with all seeming .
To live a world challenger true .
Then stray not a day from this daring ,
That flight is the light called you .

Love's Journey

O' thou whose face alights my soul,
Bestow your precious gifts on me.
You are a song within thy heart,
Your soft caress,love's melody.
Imprisoned by desire's chains,
Your face a dream,thy cherish dear;
Teased by the joy of satin blossom,
I long to stroke thy flesh so fair.
As twilight falls with silver glow,
On wings of rapture,we shall soar;
Scaling heights of new found pleasure,
We shall arrive at Eden's door.
Amid sylvan glades and rose strewn paths,
We shall drink eternal bliss,
Tarry not and thee take my hand,love;
Welcome thy love's exquisite kiss...

Mirror ! Mirror !

Mirror ! Mirror !

Mirror , mirror on the wall
Why does life seem so small .
Your eyes appear as they always do ,
Looking so tired surrounded by blue .
We share the same hair color and style ,
With a devilish grin and silly smile .
Oh sacred sage upon I look,
The answers I seek come not from a book.
For what I ask comes from the heart ,
The answer coming before I start .
So, here I look as I always do,
Every morning I share just with you .
For as I start to brush my hair ,
I place my future in your care .
Though you just look into my eyes ,
You tell me the truth and not lies .
Although your voice I do not hear ,
Your always there from year to year.
While magic or wishes can not be ,
I know you will always be here for me .

A Summer Dream

I had a summer dream last night ,
In a paradise where blue birds fly .
For in your kiss I lost myself ,
As the world passed us by .
Such a sweet surrender ,
My soul wrapped in such bliss .
Your heart in tune with mine ,
Finding rapture in a kiss .
Expressing love in our eyes ,
That mere lips could not speak
The flame in our hearts ,
With a bright glow on our cheeks .
In that wonderful moment ,
As time would stand still .
We lost ourselves in each other ,
For to never lose our will .
I'd never tasted such sweet delight ,
Never knew such endless charm .
As I found myself in the shelter ,
Of your strong loving arms .
We gave to each other ,
All that we possessed .
For certain that in our love ,
We would always be blessed .
Time will never begin to tarnish ,
The sweet dreams we have made,
For the light of our love ,
Will never begin to fade .
What we have is meant to last .
Even when the last leaf has fallen ,
As a summer dream drifts past .
.

Once Again

Once Again

Sometimes I dream of you ,
The days we once had .
Sometimes waking up happy,
Most of the time waking up sad .
Then laying all alone ,
Listening to the wind .
I'm sure that one day ,
I might see you again .
Always will be a part of me,
In some strange and eerie way .
When one of us was meant to go ,
While the other had to stay .
I can still see your face ,
Though it is far from here .
Some how touch your smile ,
Through the rain and falling tears .
Don't know much about Heaven ,
Don't know much about Hell .
What ever is to come,
I guess only time will tell .
There by the river ,
Drawing pictures in the sand .
Will be one of us ,
With a stretched out waiting hand .
As I am still awake at night ,
I still see your face .
I still touch your smile ,
Wipe away the tears trace .
I will wait patiently ,
For you to return home .
To make my life complete ,
Underneath this marble stone .

I'Ll Wait

The night lights glow in the valley ,
The days warmth to keep .
Sinking between the hills ,
Shimmering across the deep .
Below the hills where silver water flows ,
Night calls a million stars as bright .
As the falling white snow
Midnight frosts the evergreens ,
Silver clings to every tip .
Reminding me of the promises ,
That hung on your lips .
I hear a distant baying ,
Beneath the splendid moon .
Where night creatures circle .
The lonely hearts in tune .
Yet for me the night,
Shall never grow late.
Beneath the lovers moon ,
My lonely heart shall wait ..
