The Way Things Be

The way things be
Is a cacophony
Of little bits and pieces

Nursery Rhymes
And clementines
And hearts full of the season

Friendship and caring
And all of us sharing
Our love and life to give.

We laugh and cry
And hold dear ones close by
Till we can stand on our own once again.

Words can’t describe
These feelings I’m having tonight
I’m broken hearted
Torn up inside
My mind is keeping me locked up tight
Money’s good and looks are grand
But chivalry is almost dead
What happened to the men of dreams?
Are they only in Disneyland?
Looked but will I ever find
A large enough plug for the hole inside
Hope and fear are lying on their backs
Just waiting for the next attack
They say the truth will set you free
But am strong enough to see
The real methods behind the madness at hand
At times like these is wish I was in Neverland
I’m down to my very end
Having burned away in the wanted land
I’d feel better if I curled up tight
But no, comfort is not there for me tonight.

Feeling

Ecstasy
It begs replenishment
Fever
It screams for sacrifice
Need
It wants our undying devotion

Light pours into the unsanctioned places
Filling up a corner with its angry light
For it wishes to purge us
Of all our sins and delight

If all this is too arduous a task
Feel free to ask assistance
For I am here to be your friend
A pillar in the sand.

I Change the Way I See

Little sparks of dazzling light
Float across my vision
And change the way I see the might
Of every little image.

Now to live, love and learn
Are all important factions
But I need to know when to turn
My knowledge into actions.

I copy the ways of my teachers
For they are the ones who know
I don’t need to watch in the bleachers
I need to get up and go.

My elders are those with whom I feel safe
A warm haven free of fear
Their thoughts and mine are not ones to chafe
But they guide me far, far from here.

How My Emotions Seem To Flow

Life
It breaths air into my repose
And fill me with the sensation of feeling
The tempests that batter
My already bruised brain
Never seems to cease in their
Agony

Hope
It fills my days with glimmering light
And makes me feel as if all is right
The oceans of my tattered mind
Go in and out with the rising tide
And seem to ease the of all my
Suffering

But in the end I hope all is well
And the morality is intact.
