FRIENDSHIP IS A TREASURE,
THAT IS RARELY FOUND.
BUT WHEN IT IS FOUND,
ITS BEAUTY CHANGES THE LIFE,
OF ITS POSSESSOR!!
NO LONGER POOR IN SPIRIT,
BUT RICH WITH JOY,
THE JOY IN KNOWING SOMEONE CARES.
NO LONGER KEPT AWAKE,
WITH FEELINGS OF INADEQUACY,
BUT GREETED EVERYDAY,
WITH WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT,
THAT ONLY A FRIEND GIVES.
EMBRACED BY ITS ARMS OF UNDERSTANDING,
THAT SEEM LIMITLESS.
ARE YOU UNDERSTANDING THIS?
A FRIEND IS TRULY A GIFT ,
SENT FROM THE HEAVENS ABOVE.
A COMFORTER ,
IN THE THE MIDST OF SORROW.
THAT EXTRA STRENGTH,
THAT CARRIES YOU THROUGH YOUR TOMORROWS.
A FRIEND IS TREASURE RARELY FOUND.
IT LIFTS YOU UP,
NEVER KEEPS YOU DOWN.
TREASURE IT ,
FOR THE TREASURE IT IS!!!
FOR FRIENDSHIP IS KNOWN ,
FOR THE LIFE IT GIVES.
I THANK GOD MY FRIEND HE LIVES!!!!

If you look through my eyes,
then maybe you'll see,
why it's hard to be me!
Frustrated by all the pressure,
i find myself failing every semester.
I have this great fear,
i'll turn out to be
that person,
i said i never wanted to be.
You know the one,
who did nothing with their life!!!
Made bad decisions,
did nothing right.
Blinded by the views
of my friends,
Could this be my life?
When will the madness end?
I'm tired of being lonely.
Left with just me.
Take a look through my eyes,
so you can see,
why it's hard to be me.
I don't know what happened to me,
a product of my enviroment,
i turned out to be.
VIOLENCE,GANGS,DRUGS,
and ILLITERACY
will these become my reality?
God if your real then set me free!!
free from all the evil i see!!
Free to be all i can be!!
Take a look through my eyes,
then maybe you'll see,
why i fight,
to be who i was created to be!!!

It was a dark day,
the sun went away.
Ugliness came to play,
I was robbed of my innocence!
He came into my room,
like a theif in the night,
he did things ,
that just was'nt right.
Whispering in my ear,
everythings going to be okay,
are words my mind would often replay!
It was on that day,
the sun went away.
In darkness,
I remained to play.
To drugs i turned,
to numb the pain.
My life was over,
never thought it would be the same.
As it was before i was robbed,
So on my knees,
I fell,
and gave it to God!
I said if your real.
then take this pain away.
I gently heard ,
my father say,
"Today is a brand new day"
He helped me forgive,
the one who took my innocence away!!
Now on my knees,
for him i pray.
Today is truly a brand new day.
God helped me,
to make amends.
God brought the sun back again.
If i didnt mention,
this was a divine intervention

weeping like a willow,
my head hits my pillow
as the dark,
clouds,
my mind.
Tears are the only release
i find,
cascading down my face,
as if that's their place.
Like a tornado,
my thoughts are tossed
around in my mind,
wondering,
wishing,
hoping,
these feelings of emptiness,
would disappear.
I will STAND
against my Golliath,
as David did
WITHOUT fear!!!
for i trust in you,
to see me through.
i will rise
from this bed,
made like a grave.
No longer will i submit
to being a slave,
to this world that i live in.
You breathed on me,
now i live again.
I humbly bow,
like wheat,
ready to be used,
for you are PURE,
but i,
i .....
stand accused.
i share my heart
with every stroke of ink,
I will trust you,
to walk on water,
for i will not sink!!!
As the dark clouds go away,
i see,
a rainbow,
with promises of a brighter day
for old things have passed away!!!!

Clouds of emotions,
hidden behind my eyes,
using tears as their disguise,
as they break free,
from the walls,
that once held them captive.
Each tear burning,
burning like hot lava,
as they carry the pain,
that caused their eruption.
Freely flowing,
at a steady pace,
erasing the sadness,
that once resided,
upon my face.
Bound by feelings,
of inadequacy,
blinded by lies,
truth
i
was
unable
to
SEE.
no longer will i hold back,
the tears inside,
for today,
I FINALLY CRIED!!

Merciful father,
you carried me through
when i was weak.
You understood my tears
as if they could speak,
You bottled them up
for yours to keep.
I am a wretched sinner,
my flesh it reeks!!!
Self pleasure,
is what i seek.
I do things,
i do not want to do,
I do not do,
the things i ought to do.
My childhood was interupted,
my innocence abducted,
Leaving my trust
in others a little....
reluctant.
Then i think,
of all you have done for me,
how you gave
your only son for me,
who shed his blood
so i could be free!!!
degraded,
beaten,
spit on,
on the account of me.
Beaten beyond reconition,
he paid my admission,
Never uttering one word,
of grief,
he suffered,
that i might have relief.
He died expressing his love,
for me.
I wonder was it my face,
he could see?
At that moment,
was he thinking of me?
His mercy so kind,
it never let go,
on the cross of calvery,
his love he did show.
I am so gratful,
that his mercy said no,
i'm never going to let her go

A model of strength,
That’s who you are.
My hero,
My shinning star.
I love you,
Truly I do.
Your so committed,
In all you do.
You provide me strength,
When I am weak.
It’s your advice,
I’ll always seek.
You sowed a seed,
I’m the fruit you reaped,
You are special and unique.
In times of sorrow,
Your words encourage me,
To face my tomorrows.
I will honor you,
Till the end of time.
Because it’s your love,
I can always find,
I am yours and you are mines.
It’s your strong but gentle hands,
I can always find.
To lead me in the right direction
You are my shield,
Forever my protection.
You are my eyes when I can’t see,
You are my role model,
Who I desire to be.
You are my motivation,
To stand up and fight.
You are my comfort gentle and polite.
You inspire me to do what’s right.
You are my role model,
My hero,
My shinning star.
You are my father
That’s who you are.
