What I Am Not

I am not an artist,
to paint dreams on a canvas

    I am not a dancer,
twisting gracefully, a leaf in the breeze

    I am not a sculptor,
breathing life into clay

    I am a poet,
spinning letters into tears of the soul

Storms

Ominous clouds
 Circle in the dark sky
Alive
 Swriling angerly above
Light, sound
 Tremble in terror
The power of air

Never Stray

The night is cold
dark, lonely
Whipping wind
moaning, crying
The words won't come
longing, waiting
Time is fleeting
soaring, decaying
Searching onward
evening, morning
Afternoons lazy
lounging, sighing
Warm soft kisses of the summer sun
My memories fading
blurring, smearing
But your face..... remains
refuses to depart
In my heart
pulsing, yearning
Present in my thoughts
running, racing
Your hands soft
roaming, holding
Never Stray

Life Is Burning

Life is burning quickly away
 Find those who wander astray
   Bring them here to realize
The need to hide such curious eyes
   Find a way to disappear
To make them think you were never here
Through countless hells you're to wander
Do as your told, don't stop to ponder
Herded as sheep into a pen
Soon to find out it's the lion's den
