FOREVERMORE

Time waits for no one
I’ve always wondered why that was said
To me and many like myself
It meant we must make haste as people
Because we do not have time on our side
But what if…..	We did
A constant that last for generations
It stretches beyond where our eyes can’t see
A seasonal friend to the world
A reminder to our memories and meetings
A taste of forevermore
A push and pull with our state of being
A love letter to your future self
A terror to the lazy
A reward to the fervent and patient
A true friend to both life and death
A mediator for choices
A regulator for our emotions
A constant that remains with God
As eternity springs beyond our reach
We call it time
Yet it is more than clocks and numbers
It carries our first cries
And our final goodbyes
A wild and free concept
Unafraid of either
Moving still
Forevermore

Pause

Everything has a pause
Answers
Opinions
Anger
Sadness
Movements
And I realize now
Even in my spontaneity there’s clarity

I see before I think
I think before I act
However it doesn’t show it
A long one, a short one
I value it
It keeps the mind is suspense
After all no man likes to wait
It’s an itch in the brain
Some do not believe it in as I’ve said

They believe in the rush and fail to think further
The dread of not being ahead
The constant comparisons with strangers
Second guessing nature
I was once like that
Only now I’m learning
That it doesn’t stop growth
Only pushes it
Pause to me is Patience
To me its hope
I’m learning it

Reject Me Not

You ask for the stars
But I give you the moon
Seemingly that's what you'll choose
Scattered around, Yet still in place
Only I know, you love the chase
But oh my mistake

Quiet you is pretty you
Social you is not you
All I want is to count the blues
if you'll join me, but you wouldn't
Tell me how Oh tell me how
I'd give my all, yet you wanted more
I gave you more but it wasn't enough
Then I realized I wasn't the one

Broken pieces on the ground
Made to look like you
Only I'm able to figure out
Why you do what you do
You could've chose me
But you didn't
Running through the woods
Like you'll miss it
Counting the stones
Like it's given
But you didn't choose me
You didn't

Entering the World: My First Trick

`Can you make the most of it?
Your ideas,
Your Passion,
Your dreams,

It’s a long road
That leaves you …..changed

Depends on who you ask
But for me-my perspective
“1,2,3”.
“ Breathe”.

It is simple.

Some are born loving one thing-
A single road, a fixed star
But I….collect fascinations
People, languages, stories
The way strangers dance to songs I don’t know

The world keeps introducing itself
And I keep saying yes

Maybe I’m twisted
Or maybe the world is upside down
Or I’m just a crooked picture frame
In a room insisting it’s straight

Still-
I know there are others like me
Measuring life in borrowed clocks
Wondering if they’re late
To a race they never agreed to run

We count milestones like prayer beads
Quiet victories clicked into lists
Relief arrives- soft, brief
Then it asks:
What’s next?

The world waited in shades of grey
At my side a suitcase overwhelmed in colors
Hopes, dreams and fragile plans zipped inside
Hoping no one would steal them
The kind of luggage you're afraid to lose

People my age build towers
Reach summits
Become stories worth repeating
Meanwhile , I’m still learning
How to stand steady on my own feet
A rope pulled from both ends

Voices around me say
“Pressure is privilege”..
Echoes of greatness
Repeating like scriptures

And I wonder
Will I be one of them?
Will I?

I think so, yes

But not all at once
Not in a rush

For my first trick
Watch me become
A better version of myself

Now that, my friend.
Is an achievement

Palate: Ice cream to Sorbet

The world has distinctive experiences for a man
And his journey lies in it
To a child, Ice cream is a delight
But not only in taste
An encounter, Admiration, Curiosity and Change.
A real first look at life
The construct entices a person before its flavor
As a growing child, sweet and shining things speak to us
The process meant something to us, to me
The start was only a moment meant for the fun
But as time passed
Emotions we had as kids, unknown to the world problems
Became either you feel or you don't
Like your palate
You outgrow somethings that it becomes nostalgia you didn't know you had
An aching sensation that fills you as you choose
The life of an adult
From Ice cream to Sorbet
From sprinkles to Ice
You become someone you can't recognize
And the people around you have to suffer for it
As the workings of the world wasn't working for you
But you get use to it, and try to understand it more
And see a better reason why some choices left you pillow wet
Are now the reasons a walk seemed better
Than rotting with your feelings
A change necessary but takes a lot from our young selves
Some call it growing up
I call it
Changing my palate

Friendship

Everyone wants an adventure, and a place to return to
An offer they simply cannot refuse
A worthwhile experience to be told for ages

And how can that be given?
Its simple really

Camaradrie

Unhinged letters to one another
Making the other laugh
A journey meant for those who can take
Acceptance of flaws
Protecting each others peace

The only way to turn cracks into art pieces
A promise to our future selves
A bond to be passed down to generations

Promises under the moon
Cherishing of achievements
Guardians to each others soul
Giving in is inevitable

A golden reward
Waiting for those who are willing to choose it

Something I still lack
Yet it could be yours-
If you are willing

Young Love

A wise man unwritten letter
To his future self
A prickly feeling that keeps one on their feet
You notice the other but never yourself
You make time for the other
Stand on your feet and call out mistakes
A wild free feeling
Wanting for the wind
Can't grasp it
It's fleeting yet memorable
A whisper in the morning
A loud cry in the night
Exchanged letters and clothes
To become a memory no one should talk about
Cupcakes on Mondays
Sorbet on Thursdays
But you preferred Saturdays
Confessions said out loud
The heart not so sure
A wild free feeling
It's the magic they all talk about
To only turn devastating and tragic
Makes you wonder
It changes
Against two people
What becomes of it when a third arrives?
I haven't experienced it
But this is my definition
Comprehension is never taking seriously
Only the lucky ones
What is it actually?
It's quite haunting and daunting
If you ask me
I wanted to know what it was like
But I was scared my balloon will fly away
When I give it out

Sparrow

Small bird on the branch
Scouting what it came here for
Lost upon the breeze

Flickers in the mind
Like leaves falling from the tree
Gone before nightfall

Reverse

Am I slow?
I've asked for quite a while
Everything I do
Always seems peculiar
A minor fault in the way I'm perceived
I felt left out
My words
My thoughts
My expressions
They were different from others
I thought hard and well
Though not quite like the rest

Processing seemed hard for me
A slow dismantling of how I was taught to think
Like i needed time
I felt I was ok
The environment didn't think so
I got quiet and awkward
Loud and talkative
Not quite like the others
Like I was always the opposite
Stares from all angles
Emotions I couldn't understand at that age

In my way of life
My writing
My advice
It was twisted
No one seemed to understand
Only the villains in pages
I lived in reverse
I wanted friends
But we didn't have the same ideals
I was approached
I seemed different they said
Not like them quite enough but funny to be around
Like a comic relief
I want to change
Or maybe find the right people

Half Bread

A heavy sigh leaves me
As the quiet night shrouds my thoughts
I think to myself
Like a matchstick
Shining so bright
But not for long
Words to describe my behavior
A spark at first, only to be doused the wind
Even if not on purpose
The intensity gone
The thrill turned to smoke
I love everything yet love nothing
I admire the way and works of the world
Ideas cover my mind like an artwork
Though I see to no action
My spirit willing
My flesh weak
In chase of competence
I dress my self in the inconvenience
Of my actions
Though hurting
I turn a blind eye knowing what it costs me
" You have something going for you"
What exactly?
I am not complete
My fortress a glass box; Yet I hope for coverage.
Doubt is within
My stubborn nature acting as an armor
What do you think?
