Fear

Fear,
deep inside me.
Calm and steady is what people see.

Fear,
you didn’t let me fall.
You don’t try to bend my knees.

Fear,
you can stay,
as long as you don’t bother
every move I make.

Fear,
go away.
A nice thing I can do:
show you the door.

When I was a kid I’d think:
Please, mom, don’t leave the room.
Please, dad, don’t raise your voice.
Just love me, always.

Fear,
go away.
The history will fade away.

Sunday

Sunday work again, pen moves but I can’t
Rest at home taken by work I carry alone
Back then dragonflies in the sky with friends
Running free, no work, no weight, just time
Now that sky feels far away from me
I won’t give up, I’ll try again tomorrow
