Freedom of Speech?

are we free to be free
when it comes to poetry
or do we have to pay a fee
for our popularity
are we free to just be
or slaves to the jealousy
that allows us all to see
who belongs here honestly
can we agree to disagree
or give in to hypocrisy
this is not a simple plea
but a bold statement to you from me

The Poet Destroyer Vs. the Acrostic Italian: Round Eight

Putting my kisses all around your neck,
Obligates you to do the same to me.
Electrify my soul and I will be
The one whose knees will quickly hit the deck.
Destroyer, I am now a nervous wreck,
Expected to pay the ultimate fee,
Selling my soul so I can set your free
To bounce, as if you had been a bad check.
Restitution will have to be paid back,
Or I may never pleasure you again.
You can take my payments off of your rack,
Extending the time to pay for a sin.
Royalties will always be in the sack,
So that I can always secure a win.

Mama S.K.A.T Poetry!

"Mama, I apologize on both knees,
And never again will I ever say
More about how your "D"lightful girls lay,
And I beg you for your forgiveness, PLEASE!
Surely, I appreciate what I see!
Keen eyes can hunt for them every day,
And can observe them in every way,
Traveling an extreme distance for free.
Perhaps that could be why you are married,
Or, your personality could be it!
 Even your husband's perspective varied,
Truly believing in a perfect fit,
Regarding the "twins" that you have carried.
You know that you were chosen for your wit!

The Poet Destroyer Vs. the Acrostic Italian: Round One

Put your heart in my hand and just trust me,
Or you do not have to give me your trust.
Eventually, you will find the lust
That I have for you was easy to see.
Dakarai Cobb is who I must be
Each day until I return to the dust.
So, being honest with me is a must,
Trusting that my pen will always flow free.
Read me and my words like an open book,
Only to find out that I am a flirt.
You may want to keep an eye on this crook,
Even if he does not remove your shirt.
Remember, I want your engine to cook,
So when I start driving, it will not hurt.

The Road To Demaskis (A Damascus Ode To R.E.D)

Once upon a time, R.E.D walked down a road of rhymes,
Then took a turn towards the "POET," who was well within his prime.
This POET had been blessed with a natural ability.
His verse had been dispersed with speed and agility.
But, down this road, R.E.D still decided to run,
In a big hurry to find something new under the sun.
His mother should have told him to never cross that street,
Because the end of this road would lead to his defeat.
Suddenly, he saw a great flash of RED light, that forced him to stop,
And recognize the fact that he could never be on top.
This flash of light came like a flame, with the great voice of reason,
Saying DOC would be the champ of this game, each and ev'ry season.
Through his eyes, into his soul, this flash of light did glisten,
As he received a NEW TESTAMENT, that made him want to listen.
R.E.D saw that, for him, the grim future of this battle looked rather bleak,
So, instantly converted, he did not seek another peek.
At that moment, R.E.D had an immediate change of heart,
So, he abandoned his campaign, and sought a brand new start.
His fundamental outlook on battles had just been changed.
He started working "for" DOC, and then he improved his range.
After DOC had blessed his tongue, and then sent him off to preach,
He only battled poets that were clearly within his reach.
About the greatest poet alive, he would often boast,
As R.E.D began to spread DOC's word from "post" to "post."
And he took DOC' directions with no need for debate,
Proceeding to play his part in waking up "THE 'great'."
DOC knew that "THE 'great'" would no longer be "THE VOYER,"
After R.E.D used his words to destroy the "DESTROYER."
He even used the words of DOC to conjure up a fear,
And convinced a little wizard to magically appear.
Therefore, R.E.D had finally passed the ultimate test,
By humbling himself, and submitting to the best.

Hey Baby S.K.A.T..."where-You-At?"

Hey Baby S.K.A.T..."Where-You-At?"
Because, this is the place to be!
The Poetrysoup needs a scoop
Of your slamming poetry!
Hey Baby S.K.A.T... Let's go "Tit-For-Tat!"
But, prove to me that you want to win it!
Whatever you do...Don't obstruct my view,
Like a glass eye with a fish in it!
Hey Baby S.K.A.T...Come join my FRAT!
And show me that you have a quick hand!
You must be able to prove yourself stable,
Like a peg leg with a kick stand!
Hey Baby S.K.A.T...Don't be a BRAT!
Don't just lay down and take a nap!
Please don't fear that your slams look weird,
Like an AFRO with a chin strap!
Hey Baby S.K.A.T...Your MOM is FLAT!
OOOOH! Now what do you have to say?
I have bigger breast on MY chest.
"NOW do you want to come out and play?"
Hey Baby S.K.A.T...This is just a SPAT
To see if I can hit that spot!
So, I will put this one to bed, but like Jay-Z said...
"Little Mama...Show me what you got!"

The Doctor Is In! But Your R.E.D Blood Count Is Low! (A Monologue)

So, how long have you been waiting? No, it doesn't really matter!
I just came in the game to quiet the chit chatter.
And now that I am here, where should I start?
First, I'll examine your head, and then I'll examine your heart.
Did you really think that you had the skill to beat me.
Like a student to a teacher, you should be happy to meet me.
Just be happy to greet me, and get ready to get taught.
My assistance should be sought, for those weak rhymes that you brought.
In my medical opinion, you can not pass this test.
I am the best, and I would hate to have to open up your chest.
But, be my guest! R.E.D must mean Really Envies Destroyer,
But I'll take care of that, as soon as Nate the GREAT can Deploy her.
Maybe R.E.D means Really Easily Done
Your defeat will be so fun, since I am second to none.
I know! R.E.D means Reaches Eventual Destruction!
I already started keeping score, and you just got your first deduction.
But, once I destroy you, I will help you get better.
You must follow my instructions, right down to the letter.
My first prescription is called "get a little back-bone!"
Out of this battle, you will be gone, unless you can change your tone.
No battle is ever won before the first word is thrown.
I don't care who I battle! In the end, I will stand alone!
My second prescription is called "get a little more skill!"
Your wounds will soon heal, but come again and you will get killed.
Practice makes perfect, so you might just want to chill,
Because this DOCtor does not come cheap. Can you afford my bill?
My third prescription is a good one called "get a little smarts!"
Or, get carried away on a cart, if you can not play your part.
When I begin throwing darts, I am aiming for your heart.
So, decide if you got what it takes, before you start.
Get these prescriptions filled, then see me in a week,
And, remember, they are good for the healing that you seek.

Mama S.K.A.T Poetry! (Part Two)

May I F.L.I.R.T with you for a little while,
And attempt to put a smile on your face.
 Married women have a different grace;
A grace that can be seen for miles and miles.
Sweetheart, I will not say anything vile,
Keeping my comments at a steady pace,
And keep from being put in a neck brace,
 Truly displaying my flirtatious style.
Poetry must be used for this reason,
Or it should be used to make you feel good.
Even "The F.L.I.R.T" would not commit treason,
Telling you the things that your husband should.
Really, I am a F.L.I.R.T for all seasons!
You know that "The F.L.I.R.T" would stop...IF HE COULD!

The Poet Destroyer Vs. the Acrostic Italian: Round Two

Promise me that I can not offend you,
Or confuse you with my innuendo.
Every time I look in your window,
There is always something lovely to view.
Destroyer, I want to give you a clue!
Experience my touch when you then show
Sixty-nine things to do when you sin, though
Tonight I will let you do what you do.
Rely on me to satisfy your needs,
Or at least allow me to get you wet.
You can have all the rhymes that you can read,
Even the ones that I have not done yet.
Right now, I am trying to plant the seed,
So lets see how much moisture it will get.

The Poet Destroyer Vs. the Acrostic Italian: Round Five

Poetry is designed for love making,
Only because these words still sound so sweet,
Easily uttered to a perfect beat,
Telling me why your legs are still shaking.
Do not begin to think about faking!
Everybody can detect the heat
Surrounding your body from head to feet,
Turning on an oven made for baking.
Remember to leave me enough head room,
Or I just might be the one who goes numb.
You will be swept away by my lead broom,
Elevated beyond where you came from.
Roses from the bath tub to the bedroom,
Sets the mood for anything else to come.
