You're the sun

You're the sun,
And I'm the moon.
You shine as bright as ever,
Your warmth had always been there since forever.
While Im still as dim as I was before,
The one that everyone ignores,
The type that no one notices when they're gone.

You're the sun,
And I'm the moon,
Two completely polar opposites to each other.
One shown with utmost confidence,
Just the thought of you blinds another.
The other out casted, and forgotten
Hidden beneath the shadows of your perfect ambition.

You're the sun,
And I'm the moon.
Our worlds will never collide with each other,
We were never meant to be together,
We were born to be astray,
Never crossing each other's way.

Ah how you remind me of summer,
Just your presence enlightens my fragile and sensitive heart.

I'm the moon,
And you're the sun.
Maybe in another universe,
We'll be less than 10 meters apart.
But now, you'll always be a 10 in my heart,
And it can never be undone.

My meloncolly will end,
Once the sun rises,
Once that luminous ray of hope hit my dull eyes.
It will end,
Once I see the sun for the final time,
My last wish.
Just this one time,
Just this one time,
Come back,
Help me fulfill this impossible wish of mine.
Sincerely,
The moon.

Sunshower

Explain why it's rains when the sun is shinning,
The question that came out on my science exam.
Its an easy question,
Its because sometimes the clouds are too thin,
Or maybe it's too windy out,
Which causes the phenomenon Sunshower,
Where the sun shines while it's still raining.
But I don't get it.
How can both a warm sun,
And cold rain go hand in hand?
How can the sun shine so brightly while it's raining like crazy?
How can a person smile so angelicly,
While suffering from doubts and depression constantly?
How can a person love and laugh so peacefully,
When their mind is a total train reck?
How can a person be so kind,
While being talked and taunted on over and over again?
How can a person still live,
When they want to die,
When they no longer want to survive?
How can a person believe that there will be a rainbow,
A beautiful phenomenon,
When the sun and rain are opposites of one another?
How can a person be expected to believe that good things will come eventually,
When they're going through a crisis, when they're faking a smile, faking being okay,
Just so they can have a sound of mind?
How can a Sunshower make one feel at ease,
When even the sky knows,
If there wasn't a rainbow after the rain,
Everyone would complain.
A Sunshower is just the sky concealing it's hurt and pain with a smile,
With a seven-coloured rainbow which makes everyone around peaceful and happy.
A Sunshower,
Feels so familiar yet so distant,
So warm yet so cold,
So deep yet so shallow.
A 'sunshowered' person,
Sounds just like me.
One who fakes everything,
Pretending to be okay,
Erasing the presence of rain with sunshines and rainbow,
With a sunshower.

Go North

Everything is going south today.
I got my exam results back,
B's and C's on every single on of them,
While my classmates aced everything.
I looked at them,
with envy and jealousy.

Why can't I be like them?
Why can't I be better?
Why am i failure?
Why is everything going south?
Why is everything going wrong?
I asked myself,
Over and over again,
Hoping for an answer,
But to no avail.

On the way back home,
I encountered a thief.
He stoled my bag, wallet and everything I had.
All my id's were all in there,
All my important things were stolen.
I chased after the thief,
Fuming with rage and anger,
Complaining to myself,
Why does everything always go south for me?
Do I not deserve a peaceful life?

I ran and ran,
Hoping go get everything back,
But again,
To no avail.

At one point,
I stopped,
I had given up.

I saw a homeless man on the streets,
Begging for food and spare change.
I approached him and asked,
Aren't you upset that you are living like this?
A life that's hard and torturing,
A life where everything goes south.

He replied with a beaming smile on his face,
So what If everything goes south,
You can direct your path back straight,
You can go north too,
You have endless pathways of life,
All you need to do is get back up and try again,
Even if everything goes south,
Because there is no 'right direction' to a meaningful life.
South, east, north, west,
You can walk through your life in any direction.

I smiled at the homeless man,
Thanked him for his word of wisdom.
I started my journey back home,
This time, I choose I different path home.
If everything went south today,
Why not try going north?
