I wonder with all my heart

I wonder how many poems I'll have to write till I fully realized that you will never be mine
How many tears will fall to the ground
Telling myself I'm okay with the reality of the fact you will never see me as more than a friend
How many days will I spend day dreaming about you in my arms till I realize that you are in his
I wonder when you'll realize that all that you do is make me confused

How many hours will I spent wishing you were mine
How many days will it take me to move on
How many months does it take a hopeless romantic to leave their love alone

How many conversations will my friends have to endure for me to say I don't want you anymore
How many times will you kiss my forehead goodbye before I see I'm a toy to you
How many late night texts will it take me to realize that I'm not yours and you're not me

I wonder how long it will take me to move on
I wonder how long it will take you to move on from what we had

I'm not hard to love

I'm not hard to love

I'm not hard to love

Words I repeat over and over again
Waiting for my brain to accept them
Words I wish I could understand

I'm not hard to love
Are people meant to stay in your life
Is solitude not the way it was supposed to be

Am I hard to love
A question that burns to asked
A question I ask myself after being played once more

I'm not hard to love
In the mirror a broken women
Its me saying words ive said 100 times before
yet still fail to believe
He treated me badly its not you its him
I repeat that over and over again
Waiting, pleading for my brain to believe

I'm not hard to love
It must be a tale told over and over again

I'm not hard to love
I wish I could believe the words
I say
Instead I cry
Cry and hope i’m not hard to love

Pressure of my own expectations

Slowly the pressure I put on myself is killing me
Slowly I am losing it
Aiming for perfection something I simply cannot reach
Looking at everyone expecting the best
The pressure i put on myself slowly killing me
Slowly im losing my mind
Something that I love but is killing me at the same time
Like a drug,I crave it and I have to have it no matter what

Slowing I'm losing it
Slowly the world's expectations crush me
Slowly the world's in my head are getting louder
Slowly I'm losing it
Slowly my mind is leaving me
Its like a drug I can never quit
I crave it
The tears held back through a smile
This is the life I choose to live
Preforming for others, losing it behind closed doors

I am killing myself
Killing myself for perfection
For my own expectations

The pressure is like a drug
A drug I refuse to ever quit
A drug thats I crave soo much

We lacked something

We made sense, yet we did not work out.

I wish I knew that the last time I was going to hold your hand would be the last.

The last time I kissed you.
The last time we held hands.

I said what I needed to say.
And it was met with words that were detached.
I wish I could tell you how much I did not want us to end.
How much I wanted us to work.
How much I cared for you.

But it didn’t seem like you cared enough to listen.
I miss you, and it’s barely been a day.
I refuse to cry, so instead I write.

I wish you cared enough.
Cared enough to tell me what was going on inside your head.
I wish I could understand you.
Sadly, I never will get the chance to.

I finally chose myself, and it feels wrong.
So wrong, yet I know it was the right choice.
Because you did not try.
I knew I would be hurt soon or later.

And sadly, I chose sooner because I know I was falling in love with you.
And to lose someone you love hurts less when you do it before you give your all.

When will it stop?

When does this feeling stop?

I heard your name
But this time, attached to a moment I wasn’t apart of
A part that not too long ago, you would tell me first

Suddenly my heart starting racing like the day we ended
Suddenly my vision blurry
Suddenly my eyes ready to cry

When will I stop caring about not being in your life anymore ?

Your name in a conversation and everyone moved on
I staying in the moment I heard your name
Suddenly the feelings I thought I was over with appears

I could think
But not anymore

The thought of you flooding my brain
The idea of us not being us
Suddenly breaking my heart all over again

When will I stop feeling this way ?
