Hayley Gille Poem
verse 1:
walking in her designer shoes,
she's got nothing to lose but feeling.
Outside it may be a sunny day,
but in her mind it's raining.
bridge a:
with so much to say... but she's not speaking
chorus:
you don't know what it's like,
to be everyone's everything all of the time.
and you don't know what it's like,
to always have to be right.
when she tries to be her own,
she only ends up alone.
the world stops spinning and she's left stretched... to thin
verse 2:
living in her coffe cup,
which replaces every meal.
she fills her journal pages bottom to top,
they are what taught this girl... how to feel.
Chorus:
you don't know what it's like,
to be everyone's everything all of the time.
and you don't know what it's like,
to always have to be right.
when she tries to be her own,
she only ends up alone.
the world stops spinning and she's left stretched... to thin
bridge:
slow...down
slow... down
final chorus:
when she tries to be her own,
she only ends up alone.
the world stops spinning and she's left stretched... to thin

Hayley Gille Poem
She was pushed to far
Lost her reason and way
Her mind a whirl of confusion
And her heart numb and cold
Thinking of those who broke her
Tore away all she had
Holding back every tear
She couldn't let them see her pain
Placed a smile on her face
Pretended all was right
Walking with her head held high
Hiding how she really felt
Staying in her room all night
Playing her music way too loud
Finally she lets her tears flow
As her parents dismiss her very existence
Her only comfort is in what she writes
The words pour from her very soul
Her emotions finally set free
As her solitude consumes her
