No One Knows

She was pushed to far
Lost her reason and way
Her mind a whirl of confusion
And her heart numb and cold

Thinking of those who broke her
Tore away all she had
Holding back every tear
She couldn't let them see her pain

Placed a smile on her face
Pretended all was right
Walking with her head held high
Hiding how she really felt

Staying in her room all night
Playing her music way too loud
Finally she lets her tears flow
As her parents dismiss her very existence

Her only comfort is in what she writes
The words pour from her very soul
Her emotions finally set free
As her solitude consumes her
