Lena Davis Poem
No one knows I'm crying way deep down inside because I keep laughing and smiling so
no one will know.
No one knows I'm crying just to belong, trying to make friends but keeping my distance
never letting my guard down, never really trusting no one to come inside not wanting
to be hurt again.
No one knows I'm crying trying to find a place in my heart to forgive and forget past
mistakes.
No one knows I crying wondering why you had to go and leave me alone.
No one knows I'm crying trying to find the inner peace I need to survive.

Lena Davis Poem
I have formed a glass tear in my heart for mama.
She fought a long battle with a disease that is as horrible as one can get.
Mama was the strength of our family raising her girls to be what whatever they wanted to be or
do. Mama started forgetting little things, our names, where was this where is that.
Mama could not understand what was going on and neither did we, as things got worse, we
reached out for help for her as well as ourselves. I formed a glass tear from crying trying to
understand the pain of having to make a decision to place mama in a home where she would get
the best help possible. We were her strength when there was no more strength left, mama
passed away this year but I will always have a glass tear in my heart for her. Buried deep to
shed hope for a cure some day.

Lena Davis Poem
Happiness to me is baking cookies, seeing an old movie that you haven't seen in awhile.
Walking on the beach and finding seashells. Seeing a former school buddy.
Backyard barbecues, watching the sunset lying under an old shade tree. Walking to the
mall and window shopping. My grandchildren coming for a visit. Listening to classic soul
music, dancing with my grandson when his mom got married. Listening to the birds
sing in the morning. walking in the rain and stepping in rain puddles. Listening to the
distance sound of the train coming into the station.
Happiness is whatever you want or need.
