Dragonfly

i look through the wings of the Dragonfly
clear through to the other side but i can't hide
from the third eye chakra
the agility i possess
i must confess
will change your views form fatalism
to catholicism
from hinduism to mysticism then...
have your heart screaming out for more
Jah Rastafari
look up at the sky and watch the rain pour down
don't be sad cause the moon wears a frown
i too feel restrained living in this town
running around like a loose cannon
they're thinking about banning me...
but the chaos in my mind
would not be confined
now is the right time
eyes half open
sleep but awake
this crap i can't take anymore...
too late i closed the door

Peaceful Soul

I looked up at the sky and the heavens began to rain down on me
I joyously danced as the rain wet my cheeks
And made muddy puddles under my feet
The cool mud ran through my toes and
My mind grew blank of all my woes
The rain had washed my troubles away
Like the water in the sink as it runs down the drain
Freely flowing my hair was in the wind and
Hoping that time would never end
I sheltered myself under a tree and watched the raindrops
Drip down beside me
One by one they fell to the ground
As my eyes gaze into the puddle
I realized my serenity

Autumn

it seems as if a new day has come
the rising sun has filled my heart with hope
the cool autumn breeze has awakened the inner me
and now i can see the inner you and
how true love can really be
like the waves of the ocean or the sea
rising and falling
crashing and calming
so gentle at times it feels like the essence of peace
but like a flash of lightening it can change
and here comes the rain beating down on you
and beating down on your brain
which is exploding from the pain
causing disdain
while the smile that once lit up the world
slowly vanishes
like the setting of the sun
it is no more
then the dew forms on the new grass
and the birds sweet song in the breeze is
resounding in my ears
filling me with a sensation that i have never felt
and as the butterfly passes by
it's fluttering wings
makes me wonder and in an instant
i am astounded by the radiance of the rising sun
the power and beauty warming me
warming my soul
as the crisp orange, burnt red, brown, and green leaves
fall from the trees
i can see that a new day has come
