The World Around Me

The world around me

As I sit here and look around the world so wide, I realize that everyone around me are just like me in many ways, there are those with many secrets to hide, and others who live just for each day.

A toddler on his high chair eating a piece of bun given to him while looking at the faces of those around him, I often wonder what’s in the minds of these innocent ones, do they ever worry or fret about anything, or are they living in a world where food and fun are all that count.

Yet another man on the other side of the room is totally absorbed with the flat screen with pictures and words on it, the worried look on his face, why? Is something so wrong that it can’t be solve, or is that just how we’ve become as all we know is how to breathe a heavy sigh?

The world around me is so beautiful, filled with the smiles and laughter of those in it, yet deep inside them, are they really happy? Or are they just feeling crappy? I guess I would rather be those who show what they really are inside and deep down in me, I feel a sense of satisfaction. I sure hope the world around me feels the same way too…

Sonnet 2013

I raised my pen in hope of a new thought,
When an idea struck me much joy it brought,
As a sonnet i wish to carry forth,
In dark some night, it shines bright as a torch;

If only love could be a fairytale,
On a beautiful yacht we both would sail,
Under the starry heavens filled with stars,
Deep in thoughts thinking about how you are;

I turn to you and gaze into your eyes,
To know that love is not another lie,
A sonnet i completed with much ease,
I felt relieve as love would never cease...

Little Poet

The writings of an amateur,
Is far behind those of a professional,
Lacking substance and without conviction,
The fear of being rejected; longing to be accepted.
Inspiration is something that cannot be bought,
Experience is another that can never be taught,
Lost along the way, clueless of what to say,
Just holding on to a pen, allowing it to guide my hand.
A good-for-nothing slave i am,
Not much of a use compared to that of a piece of ham,
Laughing at myself as I wrote these words down,
Feeling blue just like an ugly clown...
Fellow poets, please guide me and show me the way,
In future a smooth path for me will then be laid...

The "last Days"

A world filled with violence and hatred,
I see the news and I hear the reports,
A beautiful paradise is now tainted,
Love ones having to part, but all these happenings-whose fault?
Mankind out there are searching for a way out,
"When will wars end?", they scream and shout,
Is there a hope and a better tomorrow?
Where we don't have to live in a world so cold?
The ONE above witnessed it all,
To the righteous ones and meek ones he calls,
A promise of a new world for all who responds,
For the wicked ones, their days will be gone...
Paradise earth to be restored,
Peace and security will not be a fantasy,
For us a new world is installed,
All that is good is not a dream but will soon be a reality...
