Abbi Port Poem
Like glowing nights
A streaking face
And here you hold me
A warm embrace
The night, it ended
Lights up the moon
Without asking for favors
But space came too soon
Separation is vast
Expanding Forever
And I'd rather a glimpse
Then know nothing of pleasure
Alone we sing
Together we fall
And suddenly space
Seems
so
small.

Abbi Port Poem
As I go gently into the Night
I find that Death is following near
And like the Night, Her solemn wind-
Death finds safeguard there
He does not see the shallows far
For She can keep Her sentiment home
But in Her depths He knows Her not
And together they venture alone
They trail behind me, looming close
But Night was out of reach
So Death grasped my shaky hand
And left Her there to leech

Abbi Port Poem
i roll the questions on my lips
uncertainty pierces my tongue
but through it all an autumn kiss
infects the wound it stung
to long for you is simple
to ask is far too wrong
for your eyes, a sign, a symbol
of where i can't belong
the shadows will lay heavy
when i lose my sun, my light
but two flowers can't grow steady
and you look so good in white
take my words as hardships
lose them to the sea
though you toss them off steep cliffs
my love, you shall forever be!

Abbi Port Poem
if i could take your hand
what moments we would be
such wondrous fragments of glass
an anchor in the sea
coldness gently caresses
a stream across the face
no element could marvel
our broken lies replace
love upon an action
though instantaneous it seems
it takes it's time and patience
and visits through our dreams
