Impossible

I try so hard to understand

The man inside, apart from the band

You make me wait, testing my patience

Then all I get is one crude sentence

I can see that you aren’t so busy

I ask, but then you call me silly

No time or words for me today

I guess I should be on my way

I struggle to act like I don’t care

Staying silent is such a lonely affair

I feel so deeply but mustn’t show

It’s nothing you are eager to know

The eggshells I walk on are fragile

I tiptoe so you won’t unravel

But it makes my heart so heavy

Wondering if you’ll ever be ready

For now I must mute my affection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

Do nothing, say nothing, as soon as possible

And yet my soul aches for the impossible...

His Lonely Guitar

He was dealt a harsh life

But he tuned it into something beautiful

He’s electric, like the body of his lonely guitar

He holds a soft heart, yet remains inscrutable

He’s swayed by music, his swift fingers hitting each note

He frets, then he avoids, scanning for escape

He holds onto his pain, like the neck of his lonely guitar

Taking space when vulnerability takes shape

He won’t feel safe if you get too close

His magnetic shield attracts only sound

Strumming vibrations, like the pick-up of his lonely guitar

His gift to us is his music, so profound

He’ll dismiss you, then feel remorse when you’re gone

A self-fulfilling prophecy from personalized neglect

Pushing and pulling, like the whammy on his lonely guitar

His tension alters the pitch in his need to protect

He doesn’t want to lose you, but he won’t choose you

He gauges his emotional regulation through every tune

As he plucks at your heart, like the strings of his lonely guitar

In his authentic tone that causes my soul to swoon

He keeps himself busy to evade any reflection

He’s only secure on the stage hearing fan’s cheers

He’s divided his pitch, like the fret of his lonely guitar

He’ll scale you back while he’s hiding his fears

His riff is survival while suppressing his demons

Yet he maintains perfect control set by the saddle

Where he’s safely anchored, like the bridge of his lonely guitar

His wall of silence is more deafening in his battle

Resist

I start the day with a simple hello

I can see he’s ignoring it, though

Good intentions but now I’m low

He’s always gonna resist

I make a request to stop by

But he’s too private of a guy

I hang my head low and sigh

He’s always gonna resist

These conversations feel so hollow

We once were deep, but now shallow

Now I’m off to cry and wallow

He’s always gonna resist

I must not ask for a date

I won’t get one at this rate

It must be my fate to wait

He’s always gonna resist

Independence is all he will seek

True feelings he will never speak

This situation looks mighty bleak

He’s always gonna resist

I want to show how I care

But I know I mustn’t dare

For he is one to easily scare

He’s always gonna resist

First Day of the New Year

It was the first day of the new year

When I realized you were leaving

While I was falling in love with you

I became so lost in my sadness

It felt so much heavier than anything else

During the bluest, coldest January I’ve ever felt

That was the first time I waited for you

I couldn’t bear to lose you or let you go

So I betrayed my needs to hug your soul

Now a year has gone by and I’ve been a fool

For crying and wondering and longing for you

Torn in my battle between head and heart

This toxic soul tie is tearing me apart

You’ve left and come back too many times

Without a shred of empathy or compassion

Now it’s my broken heart’s resolve

To get over you and cut the tether

On the first day of the new year

Push and Pull

Push me away, time and time again

Blow me off and cancel our dates

Ignore my message every now and then

Leave me unread while my broken heart waits

Pull me back in with a phone call

Crave my closeness in your lonely space

Open up a tiny crack in your wall

In the mood for a fantasy to chase

Push me away to avoid rejection

Resent me for leaving when you disappear

Shut down by that tender connection

Run from internal conflict of shame and fear

Pull me back in with a tiny show of effort

When you long for warm understanding

Holding my emotions hostage, causing only hurt

Seeking validation that your ego is demanding

Push me away from a love that heals

Build up your wall and call it peace

Shutdown and smothered by your heart that feels

No trust and now your control must increase

Pull me back in when you mourn my adoration

Care deeply but hide it when seen

True feelings that quicken you to elation

But now I’m tired of feeling unseen

The Art of Pushing Me Away

Throw out your practicality

Throw out your excuses

Throw out all your reasons

Now reflect on your soul

Tell me, what do you desire?

Follow your heart, not your fear

Bury the chaos of your mind

Bury all your shame

Bury your brave mask

Now reflect on your soul

Tell me, what do you desire?

Follow your heart, not your fear

Give up on pushing me away

Give up on hiding your emotions

Give up on suppressing your feelings

Now reflect on your soul

Tell me, what do you desire?

Follow your heart, not your fear

Triggers are thrown in every direction

She ponders how this anxiety will manifest

As she watches him ignore her every request

She feels unseen and unheard by his deflection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

He needs more time to process this feeling

The message she sent leaves him reeling

He’s overwhelmed by her incessant reflection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

She opens her reels and there she sees

He gives out adoration to others with ease

This hurts her core wound of rejection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

He won’t give her his time or intent

His independence is sacred to the highest extent

He’s a stubborn bachelor who refuses inflection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

She’s open and honest and has strong emotion

Her desires and fantasies perceived such a notion

That relations with him could be perfection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

His vulnerability shrinks into tiny vague pieces

As his unruly fear of closeness with her increases

He puts up a wall of resistance for protection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

She’s aware of his changes and patterns

So she earnestly studies his actions and learns

She sees him clearly through his disconnection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

He’s mastered the art of compartmentalization

This he learned as a child of emotional desertion

Leaving a core wound of shame, lacking affection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

She’s hot for him and seeks his attention

But her moves are met by his calm apprehension

When he touches her curves, there is no objection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

He’s terrified to advance the romance

He’s better suited to practice avoidance

She’s too real and he feels the connection

Triggers are thrown in every direction

You say nothing

Tell me how this silence affects you

Tell me how you wonder if it affects me

Tell me how you will respond, asap

You say nothing

Tell me who you think about

Tell me who got your heart

Tell me who will ever get it, asap

You say nothing

Tell me what you are after

Tell me what your soul desires

Tell me what you ponder, asap

You say nothing

Tell me where your heart will go

Tell me where your dreams will take you

Tell me where your thoughts are, asap

You say nothing

Tell me when you have some time

Tell me when you want to see me

Tell me when it will ever be, asap

You say nothing

Animal in Heat

Been eye banging you for a while now

I got this burning infatuation (and chemistry)

And I’m ruminating on this fantasy

That releases in me the dopamine

Just like an animal in heat

My machinations are charming you

You give me the validation I seek (I seek)

Feeling your touch promotes a pulsing elation

That releases in me the oxytocin

Just like an animal in heat

Chorus

Girl, give me another kiss

A hit of dopamine to feel the bliss (the bliss)

‘Cuz when it comes to you

I’m an animal in heat

Your hex put me in a state of euphoria

A high reward to enhance intense pleasure

I’m gonna ride this wave of excitement

That releases in me the serotonin

Just like an animal in heat

You’re a vixen, meeting all my desires

We attach as our skin makes the connection

We spark in the sheets with rhythmic urges

That releases in me the vasopressin

Just like an animal in heat

Chorus

Girl, give me another kiss

A hit of dopamine to feel the bliss

‘Cuz when it comes to you

I’m an animal in heat

I am an Instagram Model

I dress with less for my body flouncing
My titties jiggle and my ass is bouncing
I prance around to ring your bell
And call myself an Instagram “model”

I make up my face and pout my lips
I put on the music and shake my hips
I do up my hair with lots of gel
Pretty me, your favorite Instagram “model”

I tease to milk men of their hard-earned money
You stroke yourself instead of me, honey
I’m here to make your life less dull
That’s the charm of an Instagram “model”

They call me an e-thot, fishing for a “like”
That Ho Over There all girlfriends dislike
‘Cuz I record these videos of my body to sell
Look at me, I am an Instagram “model”

Some women before me took to the street
They marched and protested, refusing defeat
They burned their bras with their rebel yell
Nevertheless, I became an Instagram “model”

Please hit “like” as a natural courtesy
The more I get brings me closer to surgery
So I can flaunt again, making my head swell
In excess for me, an Instagram “model”

Lonely boy, did I satisfy your desire?
If not, I can take off more attire
I’ll entice all of you so very well
For I am the ultimate Instagram “model”

This is what has become of me
Since my daddy paid no attention, you see
All he did was shout and yell
Propelling me to be an Instagram “model”

Your best relationship inevitably ends
When your girl saw your likes on “With Friends”
Social media’s suggestions often tell
That you adore me, an Instagram “model”

I’m blamed for all the love that you lost
My curves seduced you at a high cost
You lost your love and then hit the bottle
All because of me, an Instagram “model”

This is only a breeding ground for me
Up next on Only Fans is where I’ll be
Attention seeking as you cuddle your cell
‘Cuz you can’t touch an Instagram “model”

Deep down the many problems I face
Are hidden well in teddies and lace
But the emotions I hold are worse than hell
Since I am an insecure Instagram “model”

After you peel off all of the layers
And strip away all of the players
I’m just a little girl who desperately fell
Into the trap of being an Instagram “model”
