I Stare Blankly At the Page

I stare blankly at the page
not knowing what to say
i have thoughts and themes swirling away
but i still sit here, staring blankly at the page

I'm used to knowing, what to write
my fingers move before Ive typed
a beginning and ending all within sight
yet today i sit here, staring blankly at the page

a classic a one off anything will do
should i write about love my life or about you
soul searching looking for that missing clue
no luck so I'm stuck, staring blankly at the page

how to start how to end
cross it all out an start again
how to show my heart with a leaking pen
so yet again I'm here, staring blankly at the page

my pen is broke, my PCs crashed
my papers wet, my style is trash
my hopes & dreams, crumble burn into ash
and as time past, I'm still here, staring blankly at the page

Hell Hath No Fury...

Grey clouds take over, the once bright blue sky
waves are crashing in, sounds of the oncoming new tide
the rain pours down, as the sea moves in
the trees up routed, the grass worn thin
screams echoing, muffled in the wind
defy her fury, and this is what she will bring
dare not ask why, the answer u've heard it,
so there is no where to run no where to stay
wait a bright blue sky, disaster averted,
the missus got her own way

Damn You Cupid

Damn you cupid, always here first
ruin my reciting of, i like you lines, i forever rehearse
if you wasn't here, i may have my pick of the bunch
instead of the sideline, looking at what i could have won
stupid cupid, its harsh but i wish he was dead
beautiful girl oh no wait shes taken...cupids always one step ahead
ahh cupid why did you give her to him
why am i not worthy of the love that you bring
now a wonderful woman walking has moved just out of sight
i try to catch up as i see one of your arrows fly by
damn too late, who is the guy she has just met
why is she laughing, now no need to ask why I'm upset
who is this guy, why i ain't i him
ahh cupid hes at it again
standing here wishing, first u had met me
instead I'm hurt, watching what should have been, leave
cupid ill get you back, this i am sure you will see
ill wait for your arrow to miss and for it to rain down on me

Cold and Alone

He now hears the chimes, he counts down the clock
Now is the times, where people refuse to stop
Walk past, walk fast, no one's hear to help
A crying man, a dieing man, is loosing his health

Cold, alone, faced with life on the streets
Matches and blankets his only source of heat
A man left to rot, frozen and wasted in the cold
Now sleep my man sleep, and awaken no more

You may think of the homeless, as did I once to
But a second look and it could mean me or you
Do some of us not shut ourselves off, live within our own
A house is a house, until we open the doors, then it is a home

Its Her...He Fiends

do we fly on angel's wings
or do we dive into satans springs
he lived his life upon thin ice, but still he came to skate
so never does he ever think twice, cus he still makes the same mistake
why does he always make it happen
why cant he just stay on the wagon
his tongue is a lake, awaiting to be dampened
while his fate, is to continue to chase the dragon
into the forest where its dark and cold
where his heart weighs hard upon his soul
he knows it wrong but he longs for her touch
her helping hand hes in her clutch
and how he gone, from just not wanting to feel the same
so he started lighting up on mary jane
and then he went to blow his nose
leaving an open hole now growing within his soul
becuase now its H, no family no friends
and now he waits, oh how he waits
just to fill her touch again

Her Love Has Passed

Broken shards of an open heart
Hurt and swollen, a rose is scarred
Petals fall, stem is trimmed
Next door, she's gone to him
Only her closest friend, is what she said
So she burnt my dough, and broke my bread
Hurt my soul, when she scared my head
Memories still whole, of where she tread
Until she left my path to walk his lane
Why do I feel heavier, missing the ball and chain
A lover passed, she be a lovers past
But it hurts how quick her love has past

One Day At a Time

As i sit on an office chair, feeling confined
i feel i gotta take life one day at a time
lining up for the rat race
but yet i fell that i haven't been born
yet still all the other cats chase
while I'm just trying to get my foot in the door
I'm trying to get up that ladder, but i got both feet tied
I'm trying to make people happier, so Ive become accustomed to lies
of course i, would love to use my foresight and make a means to the end
but I'm forced by, my short sight, to make the same mistakes again
now i toss and turn
lying in my bed feeling confined
dreaming for what i yearn,
hoping i can start again one day at a time

If She Was To Leave

if she was to leave, would a tear drop from my eye
would i just give her the keys, so away she could drive
i don't wanna push her away, but i don't wanna pull her in close
i don't know if i want her to stay, just that i don't want her to go
back forth my mind races, with what should I do
and as time erases, im still stuck thinking of you
she says she loves me and automatically i say it too
hoping, praying if I say it enough then one day it may become true
are u the warmth i need, to heat my cold heart
or are u destined to leave, leaving me thawed in broken shards
